Hi Guys,

with i140 approval date of 10/31/17, Rd & PD of 03/27/17 -

On Nov 8, my i485 case got transferred from TSC to NBC. The same got on confirmed 11/16 when i received USCIS notice dated Nov 8

Now again, USCIS case tracker updated on Nov 9, showing my case has been transferred and a new office has jurisdiction! I called USCIS hotline and it confirms that my i485 was transferred to San Albans city, Vermont.... I am yet to get notice but wanted to check if this has happened with other people.. I was kind of excited that NBC may schedule an interview in next couple of weeks but with this transfer back to VSC i am not sure about the timeline... Can you please help and advise

Well, it seems that we will get an interview date 4-5 weeks after the transfer, and the interview 4-5- weeks after that. Adjudication then varies: approval could be same day as interview or take a few months...

Hi
Do you live in vermont? My case is also transferred to NBC and I am also waiting for physical letter. I do not know to which office my case has been transferred. If you want to know the time line i think you can check the processing time in the USCIS website for Vermont to know the estimated time.

Thanks

It looks like they wanna distribute the load. The VSC processing cases as of date Jun 1st, 2017, however, TSC processing cases as of date March 17th 2017

Hi
VSC processing time on i-485 is june. Hope its a workload transfer for good. I still yet to receive my transfer notice. Worried where my case has been transferred. My local office is GA and it shows I-485 processing date is only Jan 2017.

Hello All,

I'm pretty much on the same boat.

On Nov 7th, Status changed to "case transferred to another office". The notice later said it went to NBC to expedite the process.

On Nov 9th, status changed to "case received at local office". Didn't get a notice about that in the mail.

then On Nov 16th, status changed to "on NOV 8th, case transferred to another office, that office has jurisdiction ....."

I called USCIS and confirmed that my case at San Alban-Vermont.

Anyone else had the same thing where the case was received at a LOCAL office then changed to another service center?

I think we all have to wait for the latest notice by mail. Something is not right about the transfer to Vermont and I am hoping the physical notice for the latest update will explain everything.

Same situation for me.
Nov 16: TSC -> NBC
Nov 17: NBC -> VSC.

Mine is the same case too. On Nov 8th, I received a notification saying my case was transferred to a New Office. 1 week later I got the notice in mail which said the case has been transferred from TSC to NBC in Lee Summit. Again on Nov 9th, the online status changed to Case transferred to a new office that has juridiction on your case. When I called customer service number, the update said it is in St.Albans, Vermont. I am from the Massachusetts area and I am not sure why it got sent to Vermont. I was hoping it will get transferred from NBC to MA and an interview will not be too far away!! But this is a new twist! Guess, USCIS has no dearth of surprising twists...

Why your 485 case not in the tracker, please ensure you list the same for tracking and better visibility for fellow members please.

Hi EB2ROWW, could be, I am not sure if its specific to cases filed at TSC. But I did receive 2 updates online - one on 8th Nov - which said my case is transferred to another USCIS office. I received the transfer notice by mail and it said the case is in Lee Summit (NBC). Again there was an update on my online status saying the case was transferred on Nov 9th and this centre has jurisdiction on my case. But I am yet to receive the paper notice by mail. But when I called the customer service number this morning, it says my case is in Vermont.

You can try calling the USCIS customer service number. The case update status says where your application is transferred to, when you give your receipt number
