EB1A March-June 2017 filers

Hi Guys,

I started this thread to keep us updated on EB1A cases filed after march and before retrogression.

I noticed in the tracker that most cases that are transferred to NBC are either EB1B or EB1C and only a few are EB1A. What does this mean? Is it considered delay for EB1A's or are EB1A's filed after march not getting interviews?

Thank you

Hi Barley1,

Great ! This thread is very useful. I have also the same query.
Other than that, I am getting notice after notice for fingerprinting. Its the third time, even after the issue of EAD and AP.
Thanks !
Vijz

Most of the transfers to NBC for March, April filers happened on or around 10/25. We are still waiting to receive further updates about interview etc. I believe it is across the board irrespective of filing category, with certain exceptions obviously at their discretion.

Yea... over the two conference calls, USCIS made it clear that after I-485 filing they would treat all EB cases the same. But again, this is USCIS, so anything and everything goes.

Hai,

I am EB1A, filed on March 14th, I too received the two notices about case transfer to NBC on Oct 25th and 27th, but the notice never mentioned about the transfer to local office. do you guys think is there any chance that the NBC can approve the case without an interview?

That was my thought as well. But I think that is just wishful thinking at this point. My lawyers said that in their experience this usually means an interview will be scheduled which may take weeks/months. But given that USCIS mentioned they are prioritizing EB interview cases and the recent trend where people receive interview notices within a month of the NBC transfer, I hope to see movement by thanksgiving and an interview hopefully by mid December.

WHy we are seeing lot of movements in TSC but not at NSC. EB1A cases from May and June are being approved or sent for interviews at TSC and still no news from NSC.

Same situation. EB1A, NSC, RD: April 24th, 2017 FP: May 30th, 2017. No further updates. I am surprised to see some of the April and even May filers getting the file transfer to NBC. I'm wondering what could be the reason for the discrepancy?

That’s a definite possibility. Most of them had PD much ahead.

to EB1Aartist:

It is difficult to find correlation of PD and case transfer. Hopefully, march and april filers will get their cases moved before thanks giving. I checked at Mycasetracker.com for 1790600000-1790620000 and about 33% cases are already approved and only a few are transferrred to another office. I assume those 33% are ROW cases or with PD current during retrogression.

to Barley1:

Mine is 17905XXXXX. Then the possible explanation for the delay should be the retrogression.

And also lots of TSC approvals for this time frame.
