Hi,

PD Dec 1st 2006, EB3, NSC

We received this message by email yesterday regarding my wife's appln .
I take it as a good sign.
Hoping to get the RFE for my wife in the coming week.

There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On January 18, 2018, we updated your name for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.
• Log-in to your myUSCIS account to view your case history and understand what you can expect to happen next on your case.
• Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at under Check Processing Times.

My PD is June 2007. EB3 India. Received a RFE for MOS, i-693 and I-485J on Jan 2.

But to my surprise I received another text today saying:

On January 19, 2018, we mailed your document for Receipt Number LINxxxxxx, directly to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your document by February 18, 2018.

This is in addition to the RFE that was sent on Jan 2, 2018. Has anyone seen something like this?

Just saw the email which says:

Your case Status: Card/ Document Production

On Jan 19, we mailed your document for Receipt Number LIN:...., directly to the address you gave us..........

Is this for real?. My date is not even current nor we responded to the RFE yet.

Hi,

Has anyone on this forum proactively submitted the I-693 medical examination results even if they were not requested as part of the RFE? Have they been accepted by USCIS and did it help to process your case smoothly? Or did USCIS misplace it and request a separate RFE for it? I received RFE for Supplement J and G325A, but I want to be proactive and submit I-693 medical exam results to avoid delaying the process.

Thanks.

it is not approval.. if it is approval it will say something" We order new card..." Some time it means that the mail was returned as undeliverable, did your lawyer changed address?

I applied for my wife's I485/AoS as a Derivative (Dependent) application this month as my Priority Date (10/29/2007 EB3 India) was current ( I got approved).

Today I received the receipts for my wife's I485. My wife in on H1B and has an approved I140/EB2-India with Priority Date of 06/02/2011 from her job. We used the same A# that was provided on her I-140 Approval Notice when we submitted her I485/AoS (Derivative Application).

I noticed that the priority date printed on the receipt of I485 is from her I140/EB2 India (2nd June 2011). This is not my PD (29 th, Oct 2006). Will they reject the application since EB2 India PD 06/02/2011 is not current or process it under my PD?

What need to be done?

Although I have not done that myself, I believe it should not be a bad idea to submit the I-693 , without a RFE. If you had applied during 2007 fiasco, definitely your medicals are expired and they need new and they will ask sometime in future.
Your voluntary submission might expedite your process. In worst case, if they don't accept voluntary submission, they will send a new RFE and you can promptly get a new copy from Doctor, without any further testing and that can save you one week at least. But you have check with doctor if he is ready to give a new copy if needed.

In any case, it is always better to consult a proper lawyer in such a dilemma.

Dear All,

My I-485 Case was updated to "card is being produced" on Jan 18, 2018 after submitting RFE responses including new medical forms and I-485J on Jan 10, 2018

Today, I received notice of I-485J, do I need to do any action with it? it says fee were waived.

Thanks
