Hi, i am filing my case in EB1-B by end of this month.
Would like to know from experts here who have achieved success in this category with low citation counts especially at Nebraska (maybe less than 100. Most lawyers whom i have spoken to and online research suggest anything less than 100 is a bit dicey for EB-1 cases going to NSC).
However i have seen many get approval with less than that number. So wanted to know what docs/tips have your lawyers used to overcome this #?

I was recently approved (EB-1B, less than 100 citations, NSC, PP)
You need to post your profile here for evaluation. To overcome your low citations, your petition must emphasize on your other strengths. Three years of (post PhD) research experience, publications in good journals, and review activities (journals, conferences, competitions) in addition to very strong independent letters are good enough to crack EB-1B if your petition is well written. Needless to say, in addition to these things, you must either be a tenure-track faculty or a scientist/researcher in a good company.

here is my brief profile:
No Phd....double MS working for a leading smeiocnductor company...which is research oreinted
1.7 papers, 1 international poster presentation in a conf..
2. 85 citations (all independent) distributed in over 20 countries..2000 downlaods and online views
3. reviewed 40 papers, editorial board member for 3 journals..reviewer for 2 international conferences,several invites and letters from journal editors (4)
4. 9 reco letters ( 5 outside USA), 7 independent)

secondary citation is counting citations of papers that were majorly inspired by yours. This is used by lawfirms all the time but you do have to show your work was rockbed of paper/s that cited you (and hence their citation works as secondary)

No...unfortunately most of my citations are mere references highliting a concept, table, graph etc. Not many are majorly inspired by my work. What do I do?

Think of creative ways to argue. EB1 is as much as about being creative with what you have as about anything else.

My publications have fewer citations than yours. You might want to look at my post in Eb1-b club thread. A good law firm should be able to pull it off in my humble opinion.

yes. NSC (and my approval goes against everything I have heard about NSC..Like they need at least >150 citations etc etc)

It's so bizarre that USCIS looks for ton of objective evidence for eb1 cases, yet decisions are so subjective. Mind boggling.
