The good news is that the dates are moving forward based on the update to USCIS website today... but not sure if any new updates to cases have emerged.

to rk82us:

Only thing the processing time page updates are useful for is that they allow folks to submit a rhetorical Service Request :( I haven't seen any approval, hopefully things will change in Jan. My RD is 02/09, still waiting for I-140 approval, haven't heard anything, SRs & InfoPass have been futile.

When you get the approved EAD what is the duration of the same? Are there any dates on it? my L-1A visa expires end of April and i am anxious as my I-140 is not approved and havent got the EAD either.

to ashish08:

Duration is 1 yr (till Nov 2018) which is slightly more than L1-A expiration date.

hi, my l1a is expired however filed extension. as long as u have receipt number you can continue to stay and work. (can use EAD too for that matter) both technically to me means the same.

once you get receipt number for your extension filed you can work till 240 days..

Let visa extension happen in parallel to your GC filed.

You are right and trackitt I-140 trackers confirm that. Majority of the march filed cases added in trackitt are seen approved thanks to the people who have updated their case status

Thanks. So the question i am unclear on is that if i have an EAD does it make sense to still file an extension. Its a lot of hoops to go through since it requires multiple letters from India and here. So would prefer to avoid it.

yes Ashish, even if you have EAD, you should apply.

for any reason till you get your GC... its better to have Visa and continue working on it.

Agreed. Also i presume it is obvious i need to have my I-140 approved before my visa expires?

Initial EAD is for 1 year. Subsequent renewals are for 2 years.
However it is also strongly advised to extend your Visa unless you have maxed out. If there is an issue in 140 or 485 only a valid visa will help you stay, work & reapply.

Anyone with November receipt date? MY PD : 3 Nov 207, Receipt Date : 10 Nov 2017 , still waiting for FP notice. Anyone else can provide an update?

You'll get your FP notice later. (If you don't, call USCIS. After 1.5 months.)

Most of us are worrying the approval of our 140 RN. (You probably going to worry about it sooner than you expected).

Also, as a filler in March, my case is still pending...

Hi All,

My Priority Date is April, 2017. EAD and AP is approved. Waiting for 140 approval. Please do let me know if raising Service Request to USCIS is going to be of any use.

Thanks

From what I experience, no.

Normally they'll sent your lawyer/employer an email telling them it's all in timeline and you just need to wait (contact them if you don't heard from them in 6 months).

In some rare cases, they are going to sent a mail telling you the same information.

As what I know, it probably not going to do anything positive to your case (unless your case is approved and they forget to change the status)

Actually Guys.

I'm losing patience now

Why the hell USCIS took such a long time on these EB1C cases?
