I am working on Canada PR based on express entry. I have done MBA from USA and currently in USA from 7 years. Considering current situation in GC in US, it seems to tough to get GC. my PD is 2014 EB3. Let me know if this good back up plan.

I have an approved I140 EB2 in my current company and I recently got an opportunity with CTS, And I am strongly considering to take it.

So If i move to CTS (I will be a PM at m level), when CTS does my PERM and I140,, will they do EB1 ? what are the chances?

And I understand currently PERM process is on hold with CTS, will they begin processing again any soon?

thanks
A.

You don’t seem eligible for Eb1 and Cts has stopped eb2 and eb3.it seems unlikely it will even resume

CTS don't do EB1 for lateral hires and they stopped filing under EB2/EB3 category too. Unless you get HR email i think its not good option (even with that also I am not confident).

Ask them about EB1, if you haven't already.

Take it if the response is: 'We will try our best but can't promise'

As it is, If your PD is in 2010 or beyond, its highly unlikely it will become current before 2021.

I gather you're considering the switch over a bundle of factors such as role, remuneration, your current job's prospects etc?

yes ! that was absolutely correct. At this time the opportunity in hand seems to out weigh immigration paper risks,
( and I am open to pick a near shore office to work, in case of trouble..)

"As it is, If your PD is in 2010 or beyond, its highly unlikely it will become current before 2021."
Why is that matter, Does it mean I can keep getting extensions with my current approved I140 untill the PD?
Or should I get my updated PERM with CTS for getting my Next H1B extension..?

to RickSanchez:

Yes, I don't believe USCIS will deny H1B extensions altogether or even deny 3 year extensions despite the ac21 ruckus.

And I'm in the same boat as you. IE Dependent on extensions.

However, over my long H1 career, if there is such a thing, i've found waiting for that proverbial green card while getting stuck in one job, is a fools errand.
So go for the opportunity on hand. Hopefully they'll do your EB1, if not you'll still have more cash on hand, and the role you want. etc etc
But you need to be sure they will do an eb2. Make them commit to that at least, cause otherwise you might get in trouble when your PD rolls around.

Agreed with iornman. Based on current situation, I don't think CTS will consider your case as EB1.

Finally I could see some status change on my case. Below are the details:

PD: 23-Dec-2016
I140 RD: 31-Mar-2017
Status before 20- Jan-2018 : Validation Errors
Status on 20-Jan-2018 : Name was updated

Don’t know what is this status. Is it approved? Do anyone else also see the same status? When can I expect decision on my case? Any suggestions appreciated.
