are they moving all cases filled post July to Nebraska?
My case is filled in July but they filled it with Vermont. Will they move the case to Nebraska?
Do Vermont and California centers still accept cases post August?

Has anyone received the approval notice from Nebraska as I-797 instead of I-797A. For the past extensions I have received I-797A (when it was filed with Vermont) but this time I got the approval notice in the header top right saying as I-797, Notice of Action as the approval.

Has anyone any idea as to what I-797 is and how is it different from I-797A?

to desid:

You can check the tracker for NSC and see for your time frame with others. Till last month it had a gap of 3 months, that is Aug files were being processed in Nov (mostly). Follow the tracker and watch cases before and after you so that you can get an idea.

With the latest statues on tracker, it appears that around 90-120 days are consumed to get the status in regular processing.
Keep an eye over the tracker for more accurate number.

Currently they are working over August cases, so wait for more days until they start picking September month. Around 90-120 days are consumed to get the status in regular processing. Keep an eye over the tracker to know when Sep will start by USCIS.

NBS,

Did you submit your application under regular or premium process?
Mine was premium received on Sept 22nd, 2016. Still waiting.
Thanks.

to Atlee:

Hi,

My application packet was received by NSC on Sept 22nd, 2016 under premium process.
I did not get response within expected time frame. So, I reached out to them via phone sometime last week of October. The guy over the phone told me that premium process cycle has been stopped for sometime. I asked is it because of the backlogs? He said it could be backlogs or some other reasons. He told me to call back next week.
I called them after a week or so. This time a lady picked up my call and told me she cannot give any info to me. My employer has to contact.
Later on, my employer contacted NSC and got a reply that my case is under further reviews.

I have no clue what this review is all about and whats going on at their end.

However, your case could be different. I still see NSC processing cases after my application received date. Wait for few more days. USCIS sometimes don't update their website frequently and directly send the decision notice. Check with your employer. Your employer can contact NSC for any concerns. Again, that's just my perspective.
Thanks.

Thanks for taking time to respond back....

This is the first time I am hearing about this "premium process cycle". I wish you some good luck to get your result soon....

My case was also submitted on the same day(Sep 22), initially I wanted to process in regular mode but after few organizational changes being taken from my customer side I wanted to clear this process soon.... I do not want my extension and amendment process to happen at same time thats the reason I upgraded my petition to premium.... Though site is updated to premium still money was not taken out (which is total surprise)... Technically two days were over, let me see if I can get decision (without RFE) before Christmas

I just read on USCIS website that Premium Processing Service is currently suspended for all Form I-129 filings that request a change or an initial grant of status for beneficiaries within the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

Are they talking about premium upgrade?

The suspension is only with respect to CNMI and has nothing to do with mainland USA.

@ Aarav

Mine was under regular processing. It is surprising to see premium taking so long . But I see a few in tracker getting approved recently from Aug last week .

thanks

My H1B Extension filed on 26 August 2016 in Normal processing at Nebraska Office with petition number LIN16XXXXXXXX.

I am looking at correct processing office?

What is current date they are processing.

How long I have to wait for approval or I have to file Premium; please suggest?

Thats Nebraska for sure and currently they are still processing Aug ext applications under normal proc.

If there are no hiccups with uscis probably by end of Dec this year.
