yes, also people upgrade to premium and update the tracker in comments/notes only, but processing type still says Regular, someone gets an approval around my dates, I am all excited to see finally dates are moving closer to mine, NOOO it is an upgrade to PREMIUM :) imagine my disappointment.
These tools are only useful if people use them correctly..

Company's Legal team is still advising against upgrading to premium. Based on the case details of recent approvals, I think I have a strong case..I think they are just giving the same general advice to everyone.

Why do they advise against premium? It will not have any effect on eventual outcome... if you can wait calmly, I advise you wait, if you are too tensed about it, ask them to upgrade to premium.

USCIS tools are degrading, they used to update processing times, case status, visa bulletin, demand data, pending inventory perm approvals promptly, now a days none of these sites are updated consistently or regularly..

Vemont service centre is certainly a joke now.I saw people having their petition filed in regular mode in Nebraska centre on 29th September getting approved in regular mode and here in Vermont August has not started even.

5 months and counting for approval....seems premium is the only option to get fast adjudication with the caveat of risk

Hello , guys ..Do u guys think Vermont Center purposely delaying application in regular processing, so applicants get frustrated and upgrade to premium processing, mine is 18th Auguest 2017, it’s been 5 months still waiting for my first extension.
Anyone near my date start recving decisions please let me know
Thank you. And good luck to all of you
By watching current news on immigration, this country only care for people who came in this country illegally, no one , no congressmen , no senetor or president .. no body is talking about fixing legal immigration and green cars back log , all they are talking is DACA.

Good luck to all

You upgraded to Premium isn't It? Since everyone at the edge of processing time also upgrading, what incentive they have to process regular cases. You should be prepared to wait 5 months at least. You only have an amendment why do you keep looking at it.

I did not upgrade to premium, it’s not only amendment. It’s extension

There is lot of rumour mongering also.people are saying, petitions are getting denied directly without RFE.I am not sure what to believe.1000 mouths and 1000 versions.this fear complicates our understanding of things badly.Immigration team gives us a straight forward reply..if u want to go for premium, project will have to bear the cost and thats it... earlier people use to get premium only in case they have to go to india/DL renewal etc..not the fear has created environment that avoid premium unless very necessary....Even my manager who has to approve for premium is confused from Business continuity perspective. He says we have 3-4 openings and we are not getting people here.If something bad happens and you have to go back,we will have one more open position. i have almost 5 months over now and waiting for first extension...what if the RFE comes after 5 months....certainly we will have to go for upgrade...whats the point in waiting for 5 months when nothing is sure and that too when I am working in a big 4 and everything fine with my documents and speciality occupation.

Anyone here got regular case approved in 4 months from Vermont center?

If you get an RFE you may not have enough time to address it and get an approval before your travel. Then it is as good as not upgrading.. Can you travel without approval.

Please do not panic based on unfounded rumors. Take my case. I filed my H1 transfer in July 2017 from a big 5 consulting company to an American consulting company which is almost like a startup with less than 10 employees and I am their only H1B employee. My transfer petition wasn't picked up until Dec and they issued an RFE. The RFE was mostly on the employer's side. The attorney responded with PP request on Jan 3. The approval came through on the 7th. And I got 3 years extension based on earlier approved I-140. This is my 11th year in the US. So be cool! My wife is also going through the same pain with 2 RFE's now and she is about to respond on the 2nd RFE. Outcomes don't bother us anymore as we are returning to India next year and plans are underway. Be prepared for anything. Denial might be a blessing in disguise for those in this indefinite wait for GC !

there is no issue if you do not get any RFE, but there seems to be lot of RFE issued even to extension in a FT job. So you can upgrade to premium, but change travel plans if you get RFE..

Sounds good. My case, applied extn during July, after a long wait upgraded to premium last week. Got my DL with some grace period as it got expired during Oct 17, now DL is expiring tomorrow. I am now dependent on public transport / uber and friends.
I can just complaint and cant do any thing because we all need money. 1 or 2 months it is going to be a painful moment about the question whether the visa will get approved, but after that the decision will be known. No regrets going back to India and will be happy to stay in US for some more time.

I thought like you, I won't make a decision to return to India, wouldn't it be wonderful if USCIS do it for me :)

hi guys. I got a quick question.

I'm on H1B and got an RFE after I filed for an extension.
I wanted to know if I can still travel (take a flight) within the US. I'm going to be traveling to a state where they now will require the "REAL ID" as in my passport. I plan to travel with all my H1 documents

Do you guys still think that I'm okay to travel(take a flight) with my extension in process? Please let me know.
