when you got this reply ?

5 days back reply from GSD
-----------------------------------

At the present time Q4 2015 and earlier submissions are being worked upon. Unfortunately, we do not have any more time frames or estimates that are available at this time. Once the team is able to work on your case, based on the above policy, they will reach out to you. At this time, the average wait is 18 months from date of document submission and is subject to further change.

You will get a survey link to rate the service of GSD team alone and the survey is not related to other team's like Processing/Travel/Stamping/Voice team's so please rate based on GSD response satisfaction/Dissatisfaction level”.
Regards,

Heard this news just a few minutes back from my manager..

CTS is stopping indefinitely all Eb2 and Eb3.. For those whose documents are already "submitted" with USCIS will be processed..

Here catch is the definition of "submitted" - Some are saying for those whose I-140 are filed. Others are saying it also applies to PERM.

Can any one validate this ? Going to raise a GSD now.

We can only wait and watch. No one can validate this information unless it comes from immigration team. I had checked with 'D-level' executives, seems like no communication as such.

GSD updates are sometimes misleading in such case. They were saying cycle is closed where as PERM applications were filled.

It would be best if we get it clarified from GM team over email. If they are saying cycle is closed after being open for 3 weeks then definitely things are not smooth.
I'll try to reach out to my case manager, suggest if others do the same too.

I guess something like this. As the perm filing session used to continue for 2 months minimum in June and Dec session. This time it is too short.

The permchecker site no updates since May 10. It seems from May 10 application approvals are not approved.

Something is really wrong.
They want onsite folks to voluntarily move i guess. So this drama of stopping the GC's

That is Correct - an official communication is done on GC processing stoppage for indefinite period
not sure on what happens to folks who's PERM are already submitted

to cts2017:

Communication from GM team states that 'No longer filing of Green card PERM (EB2,EB3) '. Applications that were already filed with DOL will proceed with I-140 submission. Those who have submitted the case internally and awaiting GIT processing, all such applications will be cancelled.

Folks,

Everyone's case is different but the organization announcement is very clear. Good luck!

Very clear GM communication. If your PERM is filed with DOL already, you are saved. No worries. Once your PERM approvals comes in, they will file your i-140 and it goes on.

If you uploaded all docs for PERM and GM is YET to file with DOL, then SORRY. they are not going forward to file your PERM application.

Good LUCK for everyone.

to cognizant2016:

As per FAQ attached they are closing all in process cases for which PERM is not filled yet. This means they may never file GC again for EB2 & EB3. Guess this is the end of GC process in cognizant. Very shrewd way to decrease work force!!

WHOA! This is really serious news for a lot of us! Also a very big decision for the company as there might be thousands of employees impacted by the decision. I think a lot of people will leave now. Not sure if cts is offering offshore opportunities to people who are impacted by this decision.

Yes, I believe by end of your H1b term, for those folks where perm is not initiated will be "forced" to go back to offshore. This is applicable ONLY if they come from offshore. For onsite hires, probably let go... All speculation !

Wondering what will they offer to US hires.

Even EB1 category has more restrictions now, earlier it required SA level outside US for a year, now it requires M level.

Insider information !!!

I just spoke with a friend of mine in GM team, just to check if they have any additional information. But the answer is negative.

Even internal members in the GM team got very clear instructions stating that Cognizant has stopped EB-2, EB-3. No further details regarding resuming services.

what will happen to onsite hire, beyond the max out date --> Totally depends on the manager.

My max out is feb 2019. Should I make a move and start searching jobs outside? Or pack my bags?

There are very few jobs for H1b right now especially with premium process suspended and uncertainty looming over whole H1B program. Cognizant did the same to get rid of H1B hires, better start searching jobs and look for employer who can file GC immediately else start buying chocolates for return.
