Guys need help,

My EB2 process is supposed to start (I have opened the case and updated documents from my end.)

I have been told that birth certificate is required during the process. I don't have one and due to some complexity I have to be in India myself to obtain the birth certificate.

My question is:
1. Is Birth certificate really required for GC process?
2. If yes, at which point?
3. Will the Birth certificate from consulate in US will be sufficient?

Congrats on your PERM getting filed.
I initiated my case on 18th march but didn't receive any updates after document submission. Not sure on what basis they are picking up cases. My max out date is Sep 2018. Is there a way to followup with GM team?

you should raise a GSD ticket that is only the way to communicate with them !

btw ... what are you doing all these years without even filing perm ?

I already raised a GSD and got a response that concerned team is looking into it and they won't be able to confirm any timeline now. Fyi... I hv joined cognizant last year September.

If my PD is 1/19 and I do not see any update in Permchecker.com or DOLSTATS.com, do you know if it means anything?

How did you get to know that it is approved? My PD is 1/19 but I see no record for my case number in Permchecker or DOL. Do you know if both approved and denied cases are available in Permchecker or DOL.

I almost don't want to believe that your perm filing is true, no way they would process your case so soon within a month from perm start date unless you got some recommendations from your AD,D.

Hope for the Best.

Do try following up with GSD and the person who completed the pre processing step.

What is the next step after pre processing is complete?
(reply) I don't like this postI like this post

to cts2016:

you will get an email from case manager saying your case is drafted and will be submitted shortly under EB2/EB3 category.

The email comes around 1 year after pre-processing is completed unless you are in max out situation.
