You have to, it might not matter, since you still have a valid visa. But what would current employer say? He may object since they still have a chance to refile you a new h1b.

You may not have a choice if you want to be with same client. Is the client giving a letter this time? Ask vendor to get it from the client.

You probably can, there could be non compete issues, but if your client support you vendors usually agree to let you go, unless you are the only one working for that client for them. Then they have lot to loose, they loose the only contract with the client..

Do you want to talk to my ex employer? I already quit, they still responded to my level 1 RFE and got approval.

Do you still have a client? A paying employer? Just stay there, unless you find a better job. They will perhaps refile your amendment, this time it could get approved.
On the other hand, if you find a better job, and better employer go for it. But there is no need to be make a hasty move. I don't know about becoming student.. Do you want to study?

Unlike many people, you are in a very good situation. You still have a valid H1B with the same employer, only your amendment is denied, you can appeal/refile and continue to work. If you have to take a 1 week break take it. It is disappointing, yes. But I don't see any reason to cry..

So file a new h1b in premium, make sure you get above level 1 lca.. Do you know an employer who can file? Other than your current guy?

Vendor purchase order will not be helpful, you would need client purchase order to the vendor, to connect your employer to the client. Vendor may say they can't give it, but they can redact all confident information and give it to you.. you could also get it in sealed cover. It would be perfect if vendor can get a client letter with your employer name on it.. My last employer had a level 1 rfe, and they were successfully answered it.

You should always file an appeal, it shows good faith effort from yourside to maintain your status, but what you really need is another H1B application, with same or different employer. I don't know if you are from EC model or EVM, employers may not be able to help you if they can't get client letter or purchase order..

Seems to me you can't work under appeal. It could have been denied for any number of reasons, your denial letter may indicate what was wrong. You can appeal it, there won't be any quick resolution.
You could file a new H1B with the same or different employer, may be you need a client who will either provide you with purchase order with the end client(if your employer is a direct vendor he will have it), or a letter from your client hr/manager.

As long as you are eligible(you have not completed 6 years or has an approved I140/more than 365 days since filing perm), you can file for another H1B extension of stay(make it premium this time) quickly, USCIS will approve the case on its own merit(previous denial will not have any effect on it), if you take too long USCIS may consider you out of status(you already are, but they will not really worry about minor periods), in such case you may get approval without valid I-94 attached with the approval.
I have spoken to attorneys on these matters, these are all what they said.

4-5 months, with out any RFE's. People applied in July and Aug are still waiting. One thing I noticed is more and more premiums getting filed and approved. I don't see a point why most of FT employees or extension seeking at a long time client apply for Premium, it is self destructive, more people apply premium more slowdown for regular filings. Till April there are no new applications from new H1B seekers, hope it get quicker for others, it is usually the trend.

Topic: H.R. 392, Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act

Dude, it is more complicated. Parties stays policy and the people in the party keep changing. After the civil war most of the south had been democrats(hence supported kkk), after voting rights by LBJ(a democrat) southerners moved to republican party, hence most of the south is republican.
Democrats used to be mostly union people, they used to oppose low skilled as well as other forms of immigration, Republicans are business friendly(so want more immigration), Obama changed that since he got support of latinos, so now they want illegal immigrants to be legal, they didn't care much for legal. Romney wanted to staple GC to STEM MS/PHD's, republicans wanted high skilled, now that changed with Trump :), now republicans want no immigrants(legal/illegal)
Now only party want any immigrants is democrats..

They might give you 1-3 month, I don't think there is any firm rule on that. NJ generally give 3 months more than your I-94 date, they might give you a small extension if you already have an NJ license.

Congratulation on the approval, but why is everyone posting all these details here, do you need answer about something?
I understand if you say denied/RFE and give details. If you are approved/waiting, update the tracker anyone interested could take a look.
