This rule should not see any impact from the election results.

Your old revoked I140 cannot be used for your H1B extension beyond the sixth year. You should apply for the PERM and I140 (in premium) ASAP.

Yes. Seeing the aforementioned multiple statuses are normal. Even I had seen all of them.

The DS160 status was the one which got updated first for me. When it changes to the state of "Issued", you will receive the email to collect the passport in 1-2 days.

Topic: Passport return delays for H1B extension in Chennai VAC

Hello,

I submitted my passports on May 05 and received the consulate email to collect the passport on May 12. Not sure if they still have this much delays in Chennai.

Same status here. I checked using my DS 160 confirmation number and found that it was issued yesterday. Hoping to get the passports today or tomorrow.

Thank you. Do you think if it will be a good idea to file both the extension petitions once we are back to the USA?

Topic: Travel outside of USA - H1 and H4 filed with USCIS

Hi everyone,

Can someone please help me with the below question on the travel outside of the USA, after H4 extension is applied with the USCIS.

My wife (H4) and I (H1) have visas approved till June 16, 2016. We both plan to start to India on Apr 23 and return on May 17.

The extension beyond June 16 is being worked by my employer now and expected to be filed with USCIS in a week.

Below are the questions I have

1. Can my wife travel outside of USA, when a H4 extension is filed? Her current visa is good till June 16, and we return in May 17 itself.

2. Will there be any issues in getting my extension stamped in India, since I will have a validity of just two months, when I go to consulate in Chennai.

Thank you for your help.

I think you can still apply for a H1B (under subject to non cap) based on your I140. The H1B extension can be filed anytime before 6 years of your last H1B expiry date.

Eligibility to apply for I140 under premium processing in Cognizant.

1. If your max out is within the next 365 days, your petition will be by default filed in premium processing.
2. If you do not make the above criteria, you will need an approval from Director or above.

This should just be a data issue in the website. As read in the other thread, some of the CTS folks have already sent an email to the DOL and got a reply that they are investigating the issue.
A similar issue happened in Feb 2015 where the website did not show any approvals till first week of March. Please see the unofficial thread of DOL in twitter here.

Topic: Anyone other than CT employees got audit approval past few day

I saw atleast 250+ approvals for Cognizant in the Jan-Mar 13 filings. Are not they are from the audit? And I dont think there were any audit cases in Sep-Dec 2013 filings. There were all held in an unknown status till last week. Things are moving in a very positive direction.. Keeping the fingers crossed :)

June 2014 should also have around 200+ petitions being filed Cognizant.. I know at-least 5 ppl with that filing cycle.
