Topic: Feb 2017 I-485 filers

My medical exam has expired already (>1 yr). I applied for AOS in feb 2017 too and still waiting. Are you guys waiting for RFE to come in and then re-do medical exams or just getting it done now and keeping it ready to send it to USCIS when RFE arrives.

I am also expecting a medicals RFE as my medicals will expire in February. I have been wondering about the same question: waiting for medicals RFE and only then doing medicals, versus doing medicals in advance of RFE. Right now though, I am leaning towards waiting for the RFE and only then doing medicals. The main reason being it is difficult to say when the RFE will come. At the slow snail's pace at which NSC is moving (or not moving!) on the Jan/Feb 2017 cases, RFE may only come after several months, in which case taking the medicals now may be too early. Just my thoughts!

Ask your boss to also write a letter that you are outstanding. Another thing I would suggest is to try to get 1 or 2 more letters from international letter writers outside the US. You mentioned you will get 2 but maybe try for 1 or two more. I heard that it is good to have half the letter writers from outside US, to prove international acclaim. Good luck!

I would say definitely go for premium processing. It helps to get a very fast decision, and I personally dont believe it affects the decision one way or another.

Topic: EB1B profile review

Your profile looks good for EB1B. The citations is slightly on the lower side but the other parts of your profile are strong and can make up for it. I would highlight the four editorial board positions as well as the patents. And of course, hire a good lawyer to position your case well. Good luck!

Topic: EB1A/B February 2016 NSC Applicants

I assume you mean Feb 2017. Yes it appears Feb 2017 EB1 A/B has been the forgotten lot. I am in Feb 2017 too and my status has been stuck at "fingerprint fee received". No signs of any movement at all in my case! I wish I had put in my application a month or two later so that I could have gotten an interview. Interview cases seem to me moving much faster.

Also, the review request letters were simply printouts of the emails from the journal editors to me requesting that I do the review of the articles submitted to the journal.

The letter was prepared by my lawyer. The letter basically listed the publications, reviews, and other details like letters from renowned people in the field. I suggest that you hire a good lawyer for the EB1B application. Details of my profile are in my Trackitt account info. In short- current faculty member at R1 research University, and PhD from a top University.

Topic: I 485 February 2017 Filers

No updates in my case. I don't know what is happening. Sometimes I wish I had applied I485 a month later. Many people in March 2017 and beyond have already got interviews and GC approvals. I am happy for them.

Topic: Online case history has disappeared

My case history online has disappeared in the last 3-4 days. My status still shows "Fingerprint fee received" but case history is blank. When I checked it upto about a month ago, it used to show the activity until May 2017. Now the case history shows nothing. I am not sure whether the disappearing means anything at all. Has anyone experienced this?

Topic: March 2017 I-485 filers

Just waiting patiently. There is nothing much I can do. Apparently many people are in the same boat. I'm from India whose EB1 category was retrogressed from June until October. NSC seems to be way behind TSC. Good luck to you!

I hear ya. I am in same state. Status is stuck at "fingerprint fee received" since many months. No signs of movement at all. We just have to wait patiently I guess.

Congratulations BDTiger! Pardon my ignorance, but how does one check the I-485 case history? Is there a website or phone number to call on to check case history?

Topic: EB1A/EB1B- I485 Pending/Approved- Nebraska Service Center Only

Mine: EB1B: I485 RD: February 27th 2017. I have got EAD/AP in June 2017. I485 is pending.

It does seem that NSC is slower than TSC, at least for India.

Topic: Returned from India on AP today - Smooth.

Thanks for posting your experience. It is helpful. I will be in same situation in December when I plan to use my AP for returning after travel for first time. My H1B status is valid until 2020 but my H1B visa stamp has expired and I won't have time to get it restamped during my trip. Are you on H1B status right now? Or have you used your EAD for employment?
