my case was transferred to Nebraska on Feb 15th - (then it was regular only). My case was filed at California on Aug 11th.

Premium was processed at Nebraska itself.

Hopefully you will be getting your approval this week itself .

Topic: H1B extension regular at CSC

finally on Mar 28th, today morning got the status updated in USCIS saying my case is approved.

After 229 days and that too - after converting to premium 2 weeks back.

The system should be modified to have smooth processing.

Thanks all those who helped with your inputs during the tough time. Hope everyone gets approval without any issues.

Topic: H1B Premium Question

today morning my case in uscis got updated -

On March 27, 2017, we received your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number xxxx, and mailed you a receipt notice. It is being processed at our Nebraska Service Center location.

On Mar 23 the update was - On March 23, 2017, we received your request for premium-processing of your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number xxxxx, and mailed you a receipt notice. Your premium-processing receipt notice contains contact information for direct inquiries on your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, contact the premium-processing unit directly to update your address

my attorney sent the premium request on March 18th.

ideally when converted to premium, uscis will show this message - we received your request for premium-processing of your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number xxxxx .

This is the ideal case.

on sending receipt - i dont know if they meant RFE document was sent . am not sure on that.

i have to travel by May 1st week to India - so cannot take a chance to wait for approval.

My previous visa expired on Jan 31st only - so 240 days i can stay till August - but due to travel - i thought its better to convert to premium. also my 6 year is going to end by Jan 2018. so avoiding risks at the current situation - leaves me one thing less to worry about.

Have you or your employer filed a Premium Processing request ? if not your case is not converted to premium.

CSC might have just started processing your case as regular. But they give a RFE - means you will have to file the requested documents at earliest and along with RFE Response, you can file Premium Processing (provided you can do it before April 3rd - which means by this Friday Mar 31st). Do not take chance to get the documents on weekend -1st or 2nd april .

Topic: H1b extension processing time - Nebraska

guys,

here is my update :

Aug 11- Case filed/received at CSC.

Feb 17- Case moved to another service center- got a mail from USCIS .
Feb 24th - Received Notice through attorneys/immigration dept. stating case moved to NSC.

Mar 7th - Got a notice on form AR 11 to be submitted for an address change. (Not clear why this was asked. Apparently there might be some missing data on their side - since i did not move for last 3 years- my office and home address are same. But not remembering the move before 3 years whether i submitted AR 11 or not - for updating the move in USCIS. )
Notice was dated on Feb 27th - but the notice said that its from CSC which wondered me - my case is with NSC as per their notice and still i received a question from CSC. Not sure how that works.

Mar 13 - waiting for approval. status inquiry was filed.

Mar 17 - decided to do premium - Status inquiry and address change was shown submitted in USCIS but was not assigned to any officer for processing.

Mar 18 - Finally after 7 and a half months- with all the bad situations out there, had to convert this case to premium.
Sent a check to attorney and they filed the premium.

Mar 23 - USCIS recieved the premium processing request.

Hopefully by God's grace, waiting for next week to see my approval.

Topic: Last date for submission of H1B petition premium processing?

sorry for your situation - am not sure if they received on weekend they consider it or not.

But even if we are trying we can do like - have the check separated for the extension and premium - since in the USCIS site regarding the suspension -they clearly mentioned if both amounts are in a single check - they will reject the case altogether . So be in safer side - use two checks - one for the extension fees and one for premium conversion.

Y would u take a chance ? get the form out there by 31st itself.

That's the best route to be taken. else be prepared for whatever situation the delay can make for you.

Topic: Urgrent !H4 to H1 transfer in premium after 3rd April?

as far as i know -
Conversion to H1 is nothing but - filing an I129 as normal H1 and getting H1 approved.
So premium is going to be affecting - you may not be able to file H1 as premium from April 3rd onwards.

Also H1b Normal processing time reduction is what they intend to do by suspending premium - but with the current backlog it will still take some time -which we cannot guess.

On Other Option - I dont have much idea on EAD stuff. But read in news that its still under scrutiny and government has asked 60 days time to give some inputs/comments on revoking EAD program in some court. Which might be more clear in a couple of months. If EAD is an option - that would be better i think.

Topic: my H1B case would get approve or not..?

thanks JoeF18.

So being a beneficiary doesn't have anything to do with these applications - all we can do is just wait and work through attorneys or immigration team of the employers :( .

did you submitted an inquiry yet ? you can do an inquiry yourself through USCIS site. Try that option.

They might again ask for recent offer, recent job description and recent client letter mostly. Since the old petition was almost 2 years. thats my gut feeling.

Topic: H1B extension regular at CSC

as far as i remember - its not how the USCIS officers works. I read it in some other forums -
every officer takes a stack of applications to be processed- in some stack - they might move faster -and in some might be slower based on many factors - and this difference will be seen - and this was not something new related to current situations-
I have seen these questions for more than 4 years now.

But the above concept seems to be correct from the data we are seeing.
