Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

hi,
I am sorry to hear that. Below are the list of docs that i submitted for my spouse EAD:

mine - previous L1, H1 and current H1 approval notices,Perm approval copy,my passport copy,recent I94
Spouse - passport, visa, previous EAD
marriage cert

I140 was not filed by the time we submitted the docs for H4 EAD. The other difference is that my spouse had an EAD before but that should not impact anything. As far as i know, if you have got your 7th or later year H1 extension based on pending perm and your labor date is 365 days less than the max out date, you should be good.

Raise your query to someone who faced this similar issue or check with any attorney to see if any other documentation that needs to be sent.

My best best would be card delivery between aug 25 - sep3...On an average, i see the cards getting delivered between 5-10 days from the time the status shown as approved.

Also the relocation/international travel will not impact with pending I140 case.

"I-140 can be filed while outside of the US or you can travel while the I-140 is pending and this should not impact the processing."

most of us are in the same boat as like you. My perm is approved and I140 initiated and updated mailing address. Yet to get the hard copy of ETA9089 and no word abt $350. So lets wait for further updates from GIT.

hi positive25, i got a reply from GSD saying that current mailing address is good to go for the next step and they didn't mention that it will be a problem for I140 processing if we relocate. May be you can raise another GSD and confirm it.

Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

hi,
My perm got approved on 04/01 and I140 process is initiated. I submitted all docs but yet to receive hard copy of ETA9089. I have a question here. I will be relocating to new location in a months time for new project. Will it be an issue for I140 process if i relocate before it gets approved. In other words, will PERM need to be filed again if I relocate before I140 gets approved? I updated the comments as well in the GIT instructions that my relocation will happen in a month. Pls advice.

This atleast gives a clue that DOL is working with Cognizant to process the applications and we will get to know the decision in the coming months. Lets hope for the best!

If you are 100% sure that C*S will file EB1, then you can go ahead with this offer since EB1 has no rejections and you will be out of this hassle in few months.. If its gonna file EB2, then you will be stuck like us and you may have to be prepared for the worst. So C*S will not be a good option if they are going to file EB2.

hi,
One of my colleagues had similar problem where his SOW gets extended 6 months once and he couldnt get a long duration in the SOW and manager also gave a letter with SOW end date. So he got RFE and requested a client letter with end date as like valid for one year or so. But client didnt want to put exact end date though we have good rapo with client. So client rewrote that letter in such a way that this person's work is projected to continue in the next year (or expected to continue next year etc) and gave it. He submitted the same to USCIS and got his extension approved. So check with your client on this letter with some projected duration.
