Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

I am currently on H4 and I have applied for H4 EAD. once my H4 EAD is approved, can my future employer apply Green card process for me when I am working with H4 EAD?

I have approved I-140 with my previous employer when I was in L-1b and I moved to H4 Status as I maxed out 5 years and did not clear my H-1b Lottery. My previous employer wont revoke my I-140 for another few months, and If my future employer apply for my PERM before my I-140 is revoked, can I retain the PD of my old I-140 application?

Well, in that case they are not going by PD.
I am pretty sure they are not going by Max out date, as one of my colleague having a greater max out date was filed before me.
I am pretty sure they are not going by Doc Submission date, as one of my colleague who submitted docs later than me was filed before me.

Well, that's not true, Some of my friends who have PD Oct 2013 has case manager assigned 3 weeks back. Those people submitted documents a few weeks after me and they have maxout date greater than me and I don't have a case manager assigned. I am already in my 7th week after GIT received my ETA. I do not what criteria they are following to pick up cases for case manager allocation

Topic: Cognizant H4 EAD

Here's how...

Cognizant applies H4 for employee's spouses and since we would like to do concurrent filing for H4 EAD, we wanted to know if cognizant would apply EAD for employee's spouses concurrently. How would a non cognizant person answer this question?

I didn't want to post this in the other forum.

Please read the question first before you hate us.

I hate to be a grammar police but since you asked for it, your English is truly brilliant. If you cannot help me that's fine, but there is no need to be rude.

Seriously?? Cognizant is everywhere!!

H4 EAD is such a simple process that you can do it yourself. You don't need the company's help to do this. Please visit the USCIS website and learn about the eligibility conditions and the FAQs.[/

I have an approved perm with I-140 yet to be filed and I'm on my 7th year am I eligible for apply h4 ead for my spouse?

Topic: Cognizant H4 EAD

Hi,

Do you guys know if Cognizant does H4 EAD for the employee spouses? I know they do H4 but I am not sure if the EAD is something we need to do it ourselves.

I am getting married and I would like to apply H4 and EAD concurrently for my spouse who is also working with cognizant but maxing out her L-1b in July.

Topic: Birth Date Correction on Passport/ Correct other US documents

Hi, I successfully corrected my birth date on the passport to match with birth certificate through NY consulate. Next question is how to correct all the other documents such I-94, driving license, social, and other before starting the green card process. The driving license and social can not be corrected because they always cross match with I-94 date for verification.

Need advise to correct birth date on all documents.

Thank you,

Can you explain the process of correcting Passport DOB? Did you submit any court order from India?

Topic: PD will be lost after old employer withdrew I-140?

This is not true and it is not going to stop porting from EB3 to EB2. Folks on EB3 are here before you(EB2) if they have a older priority date. So why not they port and worry about waiting in the long EB3 queue.

I did not say porting is right or wrong. I was just pointing out the scenario that porting would become less if you cannot use the old I-140 PD.

I Hope this news is wrong.

Well if this is true, this is going to stop a lot of Eb3 to Eb2 porting

Hi,
If your email bounced then that means they will not get the status that you've submitted the questionnaire.
same thing happened with one of my colleagues and he didnt get the hard copy for couple of weeks. Finally he contacted GIT and then he got it. So make sure you raise a gsd or connect with someone in GIT and get your docs.

That is not true. Some times the email is sent from an individual GIT contact and sometimes it is sent from a mail id that is not authorized to get response from Associates. My friend's email got bounced, but she got the hard copy on time.

May be not, IT requires D level appoval

whats the criteria to file premium processing.

You said you were not required premium by case manager though you max out date is in jun 2015. If they are not filing for you in premium (without director approval) I am wondering who will be eligible for premium processing.

Have you crossed your 6 year limit?

But that happens only in June. Surely after May 2nd week, most indications are that we have not cleared the lottery.

I've known folks who thought they did not clear lottery in May/June, and all of sudden, they get a mail confirming the visa is approved in late July. Until your package is not returned back, you never know.
