Finally, a year long journey came to conclusion with the receipt of physical cards in mail. I'm highly indebted to all group members for their suggestions & invaluable discussions.
Just want to wish all the very best to everyone who's currently waiting for same. I know this journey at times could be frustrating but just hang in there and good news will be waiting for you at the other side of tunnel.
I have updated my details in my case record for reference. |

I agree with all the advice Wait4GC just gave you. Just one suggestion, do not be too eager to get the medicals done upfront. I understand it may be expiring soon but I had a similar experience where my interview was scheduled with the medicals expiring next day . I took my chances and finally there was no mention of updated medicals for interview.
Moreover, as per immigration advice, never submit or get the medicals done until RFE is raised.

Think , it was more of a formality. I was not expecting it since my application was filed before Mar 6th 2017. But you know, USCIS is unpredictable. Anyway, Interview officer simply asked our name, address and Yes/No questions from I-485 form & the whole process lasted just 10 mins. |

(2/16) : Card has been mailed to me"
(2/20) : Received Approval notices I 485 & I485J for self and

Had my interview on 2/12. Pretty smooth & similar to other members on group. Just name , address and few Yes/No questions from I-485 form. Similar questions for my wife. He didn't request for updated medicals although my medicals will expire on Feb 21st (1 yr from received date) . Just handed over a form to me & my spouse stating "it has been recommended for approval". But no news since then. Normally, people gets text on same day so not sure at this point. May get a medical RFE if decision takes longer. Anyone in same boat? |

I also thought so but applications before Mar 6th may be subjected to interview as well.Mine was a regular case and here I'm with an interview letter for Feb received in first week of Jan.

Folks, need help on the question for medicals. I got my medicals done in Jan 2017 and submitted to USCIS on Feb 21 2017 ( as per I485 receipt notice) . I have not been issued an RFE yet on medicals and have my I485 interview scheduled for 12th Feb. Do you think I should be carrying my updated medicals to interview? As per USCIS website, 1 yr is calculated from the date of submission. |

Folks, question on medicals. Are they valid 1 yr from the date when they were done(Jan 2017) or 1 yr from the date USCIS received them (Feb end 2017). I have an interview lined up in a month and the interview date lies between the above 2 dates. Any suggestions much appreciated. |
