Topic: PERM application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

All, I have an interesting question. Just like most of you, my perm was filed in Sep 2013 with no updates and my maxout date was May 2014. So I came back to India in April 2014 and waiting for Sep 2014 to file a H1-b extension (based on PERM pending for 365 days).

My question is assuming that my H1 extension gets approved and I travel back to US in October, am I eligible to apply for fresh H1-b (capped) in April 2015 ? I know that there should be one year of gap after the maxout of previous H1-b. Should I spend one complete year outside US to be qualified for fresh H1-B ?

Can someone please throw some light on this ?
