1. GIT will decide and they will not file i-140 in premium even if you have director level approval. generally they will file in premium if you have less then 6 months left on your H1b max out date
2. Usually they will send only page 8

Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

1. generally i-140 approved within 6 months when filed in normal and within 15 days if filed in premium
2. CTS will pay and they will file in premium only when your max out date is within next 6 months
3. Yes. Director level approval is needed not just manager
4. nope candidate has no control on whether the should file i-140 in normal or in premium...GIT will decide.

that (company is so cash rich) doesn't mean they will pay your visa fees...after all their "burden" is about 7.9% of total revenue for all VISA related fees and expenses. This is hugh amount of money. They have to please their share holders and not us....Otherwise first ask would be to pay us better and compare to market value and not under $70k or under $60k in some cases...

mine was filed in Dec2013 as well and it was in EB3....looks like EB2 or EB3 doesnt matter for PERM and i-140 stage...it matters only from i-485 stage and by that time we can easily work with GIT to shift our cases to EB2 as per your experience and qualification.... Lets wait for few more weeks to get good news...

why would you stay in Cognizant if you have over 3 years left on H1b..quit cognizant immediately if you don't want to be on same boat as many of my friends here..

To 112011,
I think he meant by "not real urgency" based on fact that she still has 2 years in her H1b...there are people in this forum who left with only months before their max out of 6 years or 7 years(extension based on PERM waiting) so obviously its not urgent for her then few of the folks in this forum..
