Topic: Salary Details to be answered in DS160 and Visa interview

Thanks for the response trackit999

I just want to repeat the question I asked in my previous post,
If I am asked about the salary and answer the latest salary there is a chance that interviewer might ask why there a difference in the LCA salary and the salary in DS160/current salary. In this case if I provide the latest salary slip and tell the officer that my employer gave me a salary hike at onsite after extension was filed , will that be good ?

Also my Wage level in LCA is '1' since the LCA salary 6X K$ comes in the WL1 slab. My current salary comes under WL2.

As ' trackkmygc' mentioned in his previous post, I might be overthinking about this :)

Topic: Salary Details to be answered in DS160 and Visa interview

I am also thinking about the same, to give the latest salary. But when I asked my employer, they gave me a generic answer , that the salary in LCA should be added in DS160. I am not sure whether they understood my whole scenario. If I give my old salary and answer the same in the interview and If I am asked to provide the salary slip, I am not sure how will I justify the discrepancy in the old salary and the higher current salary in the payslip.

If I am asked about the salary and answer the latest salary there is a chance that interviewer might ask why there a difference in the LCA salary and the salary in DS160/current salary. In this case if I provide the latest salary and tell the officer that I received a salary hike at onsite after extension was filed , will that be good ?

Topic: Salary Details to be answered in DS160 and Visa interview

Hi all,

I have a doubt on the current salary details to be added in the DS160. I will be travelling to India in April and will have to go for the Visa interview. Here are my details

• Visa extension was filed in May 2017 with LCA having Job Title 'XXXX' and 6X K $ annual salary.

•Received an onsite role change in Aug 2017 with 7X K $ salary. Since there was no client and location change no amendment was filed for this role and salary change. Payslips from Aug have this increased salary.

•Received RFE on the extension in Oct 2017 for specialty occupation. Responded to the RFE in Dec 2017. Employer asked to provide last 6 months salary slips. The salary slips submitted as part of the RFE docs, had the old salary slips and also the changed (higher) salary slips.

•Petition got approved in Jan 2018

• For my SOC code in the LCA, the salary in the in the LCA (6X K$) comes under wage level 1 and the salary that I currently receive due to onsite role change (7X K$) comes under wage level 2. Also theres a 10K $ difference in the salary.

Based on the above details, which salary I should mention in DS160 and also to answer during the Visa interview (when asked) ?

Is it better to go with the higher current salary instead of the old salary in LCA ?

Topic: H1B Extension with RFE ...crossed 240 days ...what next ?

My story is almost the same.

USCIS Filed Date : May 10th
RFE Received Date : October 15th
Responded to RFE : Dec 11th
RFE Reason : Specialty Occupation
Job Title : Computer Systems Analyst
Wage Level : 1
Edu Qualif : Bachelors Degree In Com Science
Center : Nebraska

i94 Expired in Aug and 240 days will be over by April first week

Some of my friends who upgraded to premium got RFE/Denials during Oct-Nov and hence I didnt try to upgrade. Nowadays I am seeing many approvals even for the PP upgraded ones. So I am kind of confused whether to go with PP

Most probably I will wait for this month and then upgrade to premium in Feb first week.

Topic: USCIS status updates

Its been almost a month, I submitted my RFE docs.

Is there a chance of getting rejection if I upgrade to premium ? . I just want to know if theres anything between rejection and premium, coz some of my friends upgraded to premium and they got denial.

Many of my friends who recently got extension approval had job title Computer Systems Analyst and Wage Level 1. They didnt get RFE because they were lucky ??
