Topic: H1b extension processing time - Nebraska

H1B extension always goes to Nebraska (irrespective of work location) if there is no change in petition from the last one (same employer etc.)

Yes, Your H1B must have been approved on 7/6. They don't approve H4 unless H1B is adjusted. Don't worry you should have approved H1B soon. Don't trust their alert system much (in terms of notification) as there is always a lag. Good Luck!!!

Topic: I-539 approval of dependent before I-129 approval

Most likely I-129 is approved. In some of my case, my online status was updated after I had physical copy in my hand. I believe your I-129 is approved on the same day when H4 was approved. I also got my dependent's update first, but looking at physical document, I could see I-129 was approved first, and other petitions later on(but online status update was not in sync).

Just for everyone's awareness - Updating my case-
Received H1b approval notice I-797 today. Just to re-cap :-
Petitions sent - 4/26/2017
Receipt Date - 4/28/2017
Notice Date - 5/8/2017
Actual Approval Date on notice - 6/23/2017 (USCIS alert came little bit late though 6/26).
Physical documents received - 6/30/2017.

Hopefully long wait time will be reduced, and everyone should be able to get it sooner. Good Luck Everyone.

Thanks

I had similar situation. H4 EAD was approved sooner than H1B petition. H1B was approved 2 days later. You should get H1B approval shortly.

I agree with you. I don't think approved I140 is any criteria. Not sure if something related with H1B dependent and not dependent firm as H1B I129 form has that option to choose. May be approval is moving faster for H1B independent firms.

I had set an email alert in USCIS site, and I got the email today morning around 5 am that said it was approved on 6/26. I believe it will take another 1-2 weeks before I can get the physical copy.

Mine was approved yesterday, so still have time to confirm, but in general they take 1-3 weeks I believe.

Just to update on my case -

Mine was filled 4/26/2017 with receipt date of 4/28/2017 along with H4-I539/EAD-I765. H1B/H4/EAD all approved today 6/26/2017. They ordered new EAD card on 6/23/2017 itself but status changed to approved on 6/26.

Good Luck to everyone else.

Just for everyone's learning - lawyer responded saying " This status mean EAD has been approved, and other H's approval should follow shortly"

Guys,

Please stop all bitching/trolling/Personal attacks. This forum is to share and mutually learn about immigration topics. Posts from last few days shows lots of unproffesionalism/loose talks from lot of highly skilled workers who I am sure intelligent and unique to their area, and thats why they are here.
Please!! Get this forum back to what it is designed for as whole lot of people in this community follow the thread, and what we are writting from last few days is totally irrelevant. Dont let creator of this space feel shame by not putting relevant contents please!!!
Thank you!!!

I guess you could been to the point in the forum like this v/s telling all the stories/background etc. I guess your question could have been asked in one line. Since premium processing is on hold, and you wanted to ask if pregnancy can be a reason to ask USCIS to expedite your application.

Hello Everyone,

I applied both H1, and H4 EAD extension with receipt date 4/27/2017. H1 status was changed to 'Name was updated' on 5/11, and nothing happened on yet so far.
Today 6/23 I got an email for status change to H4 EAD application - it says 'we ordered a new card for the receipt LIN***, and mail it to the address you gave us'...anybody has any idea as nothing moved on H1 application yet.

Thanks

Looking at the tracker, seems like it came down to 4-5 months. Hoping it should be back to 3 months time frame by early july.
