Okay, I will call USCIS and talk to the L2 officer on Tuesday. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

When I called them they told me that this should be done through a service request and mentioned that they will get back to me within 30 days after submitting the service request. I was wondering if I should take that chance and wait, or should just submit the address change request any ways? Any thoughts please?

Thank you for your response. Exactly, I'd really hate to miss an interview notice or EAD/Green card due to incomplete address, especially when I'm unable to track my cases online. Although I'm concerned about submitting the address change request because when I called and asked the USCIS agent they told me that I should submit the online address change request only if i have moved to a different address. i wanted to be sure that submitting such request would not lead to any complications. Any thought?

Hey friends, I have a bit of situation and I'd appreciate your opinion on my following question:

I applied for my 485, 131 and 765 with RD of 11/24/2017 and finished my biometrics today. Like many others my 485, 131 and 765 cases are not trackable online on USCIS website. When I got my biometrics notice I found that my apt number was missing in the notice (it showed my address as 'XXXX XX Parkway Apt) although luckily it got delivered to the correct address. I tried calling USCIS to resolve this issue but all they suggested was to submit a service request. I suspect that my apt number was missing as my street address is too long and it often fills up the character limits in the address field when I fill out some online govt. forms. Also when I looked into my previous notices from USCIS I found that those had my complete address (i.e. including my apt number) as there I had written 'Pkwy' instead of 'Parkway'. I think using this abbreviation in my address (i.e. 'Pkwy' instead of 'parkway') can potentially fix the issue as all I need is a couple of character to fit my apt number (e.g. Apt xx). Do you think I can submit the online address change form on the USCIS website to submit this change in my request (although I have not moved to a different place)?

Interesting that no activity on this threat? I wonder if all Sept applications are approved or what? My H4 EAD was received by California Service Center on Sept 26th. No news yet. Submitted second IR two days back. Is this within the timeline? Anyone with similar timelines still waiting or got approved?

It's probably because your application is at NSC which appears to be a bit slower than the TSC. It's my guess though, and I could be wrong.

I do not think publications and citations are "requirements". You should be able to make a case why your work is in national interest and that you are an individual with exceptional abilities. Do not get bogged down due to publications and citations. I think those things are overrated; while those items make it easier to draft your petition (especially for those lawyers who do not want to put any extra efforts on your case) these are a couple from many many categories which can help you make your case. Your works seems exciting.

Hi Priyesh,

As eireman mentioned, you may not need to worry about being on the editorial board. Your profile appears to be more than sufficient. I'd recommend you to consult few lawyers (free preliminary consultation re this). If you still would like to do it, you may reach out to journal editors or your friends/peers who are already on the board and request them to nominate you or have you on the board; make sure you explain why you fit (your credentials). I had to reach out this way last year to get on the boards. However, since I published a couple of manuscripts as a corresponding author this year, I've received 9 invitations (mostly for new journals) to serve on the board within last three months. I think publishing as a corresponding author helps big time in this regard.

Just noticed that the I-140 approval date on the I-797 Notice of Action that I received today is 9/15/2017 (USCIS received the app on 10/24/2016 so 330 days). It is the same date date when the online status was changed to 'On September 15, 2017, we updated your name for your Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker , Receipt Number LINXXXX. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.' Those of you who notice this change in your status, probably good news is on the way :-)

No change in status since Sept 15, 2016. It still shows the same thing, i.e. 'We updated your name for I-140.......'. I'll post it here as soon as I hear anything further.

and to Syimu:

Thank you guys for your politeness and the wishes! I too feel that my credentials might be good enough for NIW; however many of our friends on this wonderful forum have way better profile, and that sometimes makes me doubt myself.

While this approval will be almost of no use for me, one thing I'm hoping to get from it is to comfort all of you a little bit that you are definitely going to get approved if a case like mine can get approved (provided it gets approved :-), although I do acknowledge the X factor and the unpredictable and random review/approval process.
