What's wrong with GIT? We had to wait 15 -25 months for PERM approval and they even can't file I140 within 2 months of approval. Horrible..!!!

guys, the reason for 140 delay from GIT is simple...
they want to keep the employee for longer time... they filed the perm only towards end of 5th year of h1, knowing that ppl will not quit after that...now same thing for 140...they will file towards end of perm expiry and in regular processing..so employee will be with the company for atleast 1 more year... less salary, peanut bonus, less promotions...good results...top managment making lot of money, ... Jai Ho!

i am sorry, i thought ur 6 yr maxout is Aug 2016...but looks like ur 6th yr max out is aug 2015.
you can get your eta9089 form from DOl using the FOIA request and use that to find the new job. But make sure they file your new perm before aug 15 so that in case of another audit with new employer u can still get future extensions. but this route is risky; worst case u have to go out of usa...

yes you will get extension only until Aug 2016.
so u can quit now and u have to make sure that your new employer files your new perm before Aug2015. that way even if u get another audit u can get h1 extension under AC21. Only thing u lose is your PD because u dont have an approved 140 yet from CTS.
So run and find a new employer asap otherwise keep waiting for cts perm

Writing on Frank's blog is really excellent idea.
but immigration decisions come from top level so probably they are already aware of whats going on with immigration.
Still its worth trying.
More than the inefficiency of GIT, its the lack of transparency. If CTS was working with DOL and loobying they could have communicated this clearly much earlier.
Couple of more things to mention is:-
1. higher education - for those who are pursuing part time mba or something else etc.
2. education for spouse - if spouse is pursuing MS here and suddenly the perm is denied then we have to go back india..

Dude.. you have 1.5 yrs..quickly find another job and move on..before cts guys get the perm approvals you will get yours from the new employer.
dont waste time in cts waiting for the perm approval like we all 'screwed up' guys are wasting :)

Can you please be more detailed on your responses so that we can understand the reasons clearly. I am not sure what you mean when you say recruitment details were not shared?

1. Every 9809 has a section for recruitment details and has fields for questions like
a. What dates the first ad was placed and
b. what dates second ad was placed and
c. what was the news paper name etc,
d. what was the modes of recuitment ( Campus hiring , employee referral , ethnic newspaper etc) .

What did you see in these sections ? Were these fields all blank ?

2.Whats the exact text of the audit query ? Can you please copy word for word here ?

3. Can you load the 9089 form in some site with names and personal details redacted ? Google drive can work.

4. Did DOL send you 500 page response in an e-mail or do they send hard copies ?

i can answer few of your questions.
1. the first query on audit was a request to provide all the details related to recruitment. if this was already provided by cts during perm filing why would DOL ask the same question again?
i'll go back and check the 9089 again for the recruitment details.

2. i can not write the exact text of the query because its too long and i received the scanned, printed docs.

3. i cannot load 9089

4.DOL sent the printed copies of all the material. I paid approximately 55$ to DOL for this.

I received my FOIA request documents. I received everything ..eta form, audit from DOL, audit response by CTS.
there was nothing wrong in eta form but looks like cts didnt share the recruitment details properly with dol. So the first reason of audit was recruitment documents. CTS never shared this reason with us. The reason cts shared was only - employee didnt pay the perm fees. So i guess the main reason for audit for everybody from jan 2013 batch was the recruitment docs. And i think its the same reason for all PERMS on hold.
there were 2 more audit questions - layoff numbers and one minor question.
DOL sent me almost 500 pages of documentation for all this which included 100s of pages of company financial statements and what is software and what is software management and blah blah blah and other BS stuff..
So looks like all audit responses and all pending applications are just stacked up in some room because no DOL officer would have time to read this much! So basically we are screwed for more than 2 yrs now...
