Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

I have a basic question. For applying EAD , we need to have SSN. but currently for H4 they won't offer SSN. This means H4 can also apply for SSN.

Topic: PERM application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

If its really contract to hire position then they might offer you full time before your contract gets over, if you accept the offer you can be contractor until your H1 gets transfered. Your H1 be transfer itself will be an h1 extension because you might get different validity period than the current one. they will surely apply extension until it max out. Problem is if they didn't offer the full time then unlike other clients you cannot extend beyond 12 months.because JPMC has a strict policy of 12 months contract , earlier it was 18 months. when they give you full time offer you must have solid three years to getting max out in your H1. if not you can't be hired eventhough your manager gives offer, the HR recruiter will reject says its not policy. It happened to me, I got the offer, but HR rejected stating i have only 2 1/2 year left on my H1.

In JPMC, they have a policy of contract period of 12 months, after that you have to move out. Unless you have a strong offshore to support they have exception for it. Applying GC from JPMC is painful process, they will start the process after you complete one year with them. After that Getting approvals for starting your GC will take one more year with lots of process. Nowadays most of the PERM (almost 90%) filed from JPMC is undergoing audit. they have a policy if you have solid three years of Visa for maxing out or you should have approved I140 since using that they can get 3 years extension then only you ll be hired. Lots of my friends working in JPMC adviced me not to join if GC is priority to me. I got the offer because of 3 year policy its was dropped. These are my personal experience.
