Topic: OT - Father in law had a stroke

Well the exact same thing happened to me last month when my MIL had a stroke and I had to take her in. As to signing papers or not, I believe they must have gotten your information when you went to admit him in. I did sign the papers as they need my authorization for treating her. Please be clear I am not suggesting either way since its your situation. I am just telling what I did.

I cannot go in details right now but can share my experience later tonight. I would take care of important stuff if I were you.

EB1 and no audit??? :) lol

Audit, yes but there's a simple solution. Just change the candidate's last name to "manager"

then if USCIS questions, just say "he manager by BIRTH, who you to question". followed by our patented head nod.

Topic: Driving with expired DL in Texas

Hi all,
I received a notice today, saying that I was driving on highway while my driver license was expired. And that my DL will be suspended for one year :|. Yes, Im international student, and I forgot to renew my DL for 3 months. But too bad, Im at the graduation time, and no driving is like putting me in jail. Anyone has the same situation before? I was never stopped on highway by police, how come they know me was driving? Can they take a photo, and claim that was me? I have an option to go to court, should I take a chance? Should I ask for help from a lawyer? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Sorry pal, can't help you on this. People on this board are experts in (bending) immigration laws. Now so much traffic laws/ rules.

Be sure to knock this door if you ever have questions like "what can they do....., can they claim.....Should I take a chance.....what is the risk...? " pertaining to you immigration woes. gurus will have answer to that

Disclaimer: I am not a guru. I am just a ......ohh come on you know!

Hi,
Anyone knows if CTS processes GC for H1b holder even if she is not in maxout period?
This is for Eb1 category.

This is from what i have heard, Everyone in eb2 and eb3 is getting denied so they are only filing in eb1c. You would get Gc in 4 months. Good luck.please Tell your friends and family too.

Yes ...your PD might get current by 2018 ..without CIR

With CIR, by 2018 all the Americans would have moved out. Indian IT will supply desi politicians to run the govt.

It's going to be a free country. IMAGINE no more driving in stupid lanes, stopping at stop signs, finding a restroom to take a leak, no traffic violations that cannot be sorted by a mutual agreement and $20 cash etc etc....

There won't be any queue. India no 2 will exhibit an open door policy

Hi...Don't bother to respond to any of these so called "Genius". They believe that they are the only one who deserve to be in US. Forget them. It happened to me as well. But it was not my employer, it was done by a vendor. We just filed a case with in a month he came back and agreed to pay the invoice amount. We didn't even go to court. The only pain is, you will loose a part of money as lawyer fees. As in my case it is not my employer, so i can't complain to DOL. But in your case you can. Good luck.

Hey, anyone who claimed himself genius over you (desi consultants) must have said it sarcastically. Ignore that troll. We very well know YOU are the true genius. Having four different resumes and keeping track of which one should go out to USCIS, which one to vendor, which one for filing perm, and which one for actual job search is not easy. You are like Jason Bourne of the real world.

You are a one stop geek shop for all your clients need. An expert in PeopleSoft HCM/Java Developer/ Business analyst/ Project Manager / Recruiter / and everything and anything that can remotely be related to IT. On any given morning you dont know whether to dress like a dork, or a geek or a professional. You are eligible for any status H1/L1/B1/F1/EAD/EB1/EB2/EB3 just depends on your lawyers/employers mood.

In short, if theres anyone who deserves to be here, its you. Forget the guy who spends years writing a thesis. What a loser.

Topic: Murthy Law firm review

I understand your frustration given the never ending wait in EB3. But I tell you something, a few years from now you would be happy for what the lawyers did. Murthy has a sound reputation for good reason.

(Murthy law firms practice is they feel only the employers are needed for I140 and PERM)
This is true, the immigration counsel at my company hardly contacted me during my entire GC process. That too just for my resume and experience letters.

(Perm process they are dragging dragging for months)
I know you are wanting to compare against companies who file over 200 perms based on single advertisement (?). If you go by the book, it does take that long (mine took almost nine months. and so did for all of my friends with fortune 500 companies.) DO IT ONCE, DO IT RIGHT, NEVER TWICE.

As for EB3 VS EB2:- Murthy must have contacted your employer and he must have given a good and HONEST description of your position and based on which the lawyers decided the suitable category was EB3. Nothing wrong with that. Why would your employer or lawyers firm try to burn you intentionally. I have bunch of degrees, BS, MS, PE, P Eng, publications (ASME Journal, Japanese), citations etc etc but does the job require it. It didn't, at least in my case. There is hardly any job in US that requires Masters as a must. You should be able to port easily once you meet the criteria.

I think you are alright.

Topic: Immigration Bill Loopholes

Agreed, Given the rapid pace cognizant is appealing the denials only to file for extension while the appeal gets denied, seems like the employees and management are fully committed to stay until handcuffed and put on the plane.

There is no remorse. The company hasn't made any announcement that they are facing government audits and how much percentage of their perm filing have gotten denials.

Explain to me, if you and your employment is legit, why are you looking for advice here?

I mean, you don't go to a ghetto to ask the proper dosage for your prescription medicine. For that you go to a doctor.

-they live by "law" and try to preach it to everyone else. I am a normal human being.....

Normal human brings don't break the law. You did (if you had the same 80-20 split, running payroll and other jargon associated with consultancies) Your Fortune 500 employer asked to wait for 5 years before filing your Gc, guess what that's what mine did and it seems logical. You have to be able to perform to qualify for employment based Gc. You decided to take the shortcut and now you are dealing with the aftermath. In fact it's not so much a aftermath at this point. It will be when they audit all the cases revoke your Gc and deport your .....

Now you can generate a lot of sympathy across this board with your situation and threaten your employer with legal action. But I dare you will ever file a legal complaint.
