Topic: Jan 2017 I-485 Filers

We emailed TSC for a transfer notice we didin't get. We raised SR and no response. Then an officer over the phone gave us the email. We emailed them and in their response they actually talked about the current stage of the application (on that time it was stuck in BC) which was ok I guess. During infopasses that we had prior to the email, we had asked if we were done with BC but no clear answer was given. So I guess it was helpful to know at what stage the application was.

Hi,

Look at this link and follow the steps, you should email Nebreska I believe, but you have to make some SR and infopass before emailing them.

https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/contact-us#USCIS%...

If you decide to email them make sure to give them a through history of all the actions you have taken. Good luck and update us.

Topic: Jan 2017 I-485 Filers

Here is the email we used for Texas. I am not sure if it is the same for Nebraska. An L1 officer gave it to my dependent. So you may want to call the hotline and ask for the email of Nebraska if that's where you filed your application.

Have you email the service center directly? I think if you email them directly and explain to them that your 140 is approved it may help.

Topic: At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for you

I agree with you. There were a couple of people here in trackitt that their interviews were canceled and then they were told through infopass or L2 officer that they are stuck in BC. About the steps you suggested, I am not sure, my case was sent back from NBC to TSC and I talked to L2 officer and I was told it is in queue for interview. So I am not sure how the interview step happens.

Usually if your status says "your case is ready to be scheduled for interview" my guess is your background check is done. Did you get the message before this last one that "cannot provide info".? Did you call the number, what does the automated system say?

Do you know if your BC is done? It is usually the BC that takes a long time for us!

I have done several infopass. Nothing is helpful. I have raised SR for outside normal processing. Don't know what else I can do!

Call the number and when it asks if you have your receipt number answer no. You will be connected to a L1 officer. Tell her exactly "I called almost 10 days ago because I cannot check my status and I was told if it continued for more than a week call and ask to talk to a L2 officer". This trick usually works. At least worked for me.

To get an infopass, you should check their website more frequently. They open up spaces, so check their website a lot at different times during the day.

Hopefully you will get the notice soon. Did you ask the officer how long it takes to schedule the interview, since your case is in Baltimore office, they should be able to give you a timeline. The strange thing about my application is that it is sent back to TSC from NBC and I am awaiting an interview!

Topic: I485 Interview notice lost by USPS

It had happened to me that sometimes my mails will be delivered a day or two later than what is claimed in my informed delivery email. so wait a couple of days I am sure you will receive it. If not you can call or infopass, but it is not something serious.

Topic: "Fingerprint fee was received" for more than 8 months?

It is difficult to say. We emailed them because of multiple transfer of our cases and not knowing where they were. The good thing about emailing them is that you don't need to wait for the processing time to reach to your filing date to be able to raise SR ... What we got from them was not a generic response, the officer who responded had his name under the response. So at least I can say the inquiry was handled separately. Furthermore, because Texas is where you initially filed they are in better position to tell you what is going on with your case. And finally and sadly my friend there is not much that we can do, it is just an attempt to get some info. Hopefully it will work.
