Topic: PERM application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

Hi Raj,

I found the following link while googling about C*S GC. I guess this one is more specifically targeted at EB1:
http://www.petition2congress.com/6398/stop-eb1-...

Also i found following stats for C*S 2014 GC filing on myvisajobs.com and here are the stats:
Applied: 140
Approved: 70
Rejected: 70
Withdrawn: ~30

You can also check the historical data on the myvisajobs.com and see that the rejection % is pretty high in 2014 as compare to previous years.
Don't know what went wrong in 2014?

Thank you Guys,

The manager told me that he will push for EB1 but i think it's more of a hiring gimmick than a reality.
As you have pointed out that one needs to be outside US for at least one year in managerial capacity, I won't be eligible for EB1.
Regarding EB2, does total number of years of experience contributes any positive factor? I mean do we know on what basis the USCIS is rejecting\auditing EB2 applicants or is it that the reputation of C*T is so bad that the name itself raises red alarm?

I was reading on some forums that C*S has abused the GC process so badly that people have filed complaints to DOL.

Thanks for your time.

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and need some help regarding my employment scenario.
I am an IT professional with close to 10 years of genuine exp. I spend most of my time in US on L1B. As i was about to exhaust my 5 years on L1B coming January, I got my L1B converted to H1B this year. Now my H1B will expire in Jan-2016 and my current employer is refusing to file my GC.

So i started looking out and got couple of offers. First offer is from C*S with the promise of filing GC asap. They are offering me manager level position and they will be filing my GC In EB1.

My other offer is from a small american consulting firm offering me the same except that they will be filing my GC in EB2.

Right now i am holding a designation of "Manager" with my current employe r(PMP certified etc).
Both offers are good in terms of compensation (manager level).

But lot of people have advised me not to go with C*S as their denial rate is pretty high this year. I want to know:

1> Can a company file for GC in EB1 unless you have served one yr out of US in managerial capacity?
2> What is the realistic level of denial rate of EB1(C*S) for people with 10 yrs of exp?
3> Last but not the least, should i consider C*S offer as rgt now GC is pretty high on my priority list?

Many Thanks in advance.
