Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

Glad to share that my I-140 has been approved! I am very happy and excited about this after long wait! :)

Folks for whom case has been filed (regular/pp), do not just wait for GIT to update the steps immediately or send an email notification post filing..

Check out myvisa 'Details and Dates' link and you should be seeing your receipt number and if it exists you should be able to see a link to check on USCIS site.
(Looks like mine was approved couple of days ago (just 3 business days post submission to USCIS)

My details:
EB2|PD-12/2013|PERM Certified-04/01/2015|Case Manager Assigned-06/01/2015|USCIS Submission-07/15/2015|Mode- PP|Approved by USCIS- 07/20/2015|

I know the wait is hurting a lot, but I wish you all too a good luck! Thank you!

do you know how much time GIT takes to actually file the case after Immigration user review is done? I can see in my MyVisa portal that "Immigration user review" is completed on 7/9.

In my case,
Immigration user review is completed-07/13
Fedexed from Teaneck NJ to USCIS - 07/13
Received at USCIS Dallas TX - 07/14

Btw mine is also processed in premium mode and have got two emails in the morning, one for filing confirmation with tracking number and another one for the premium processing confirmation.
Your should have been submitted by now and its only about updating myvisa and having notifications triggered. wish you good luck!

Glad to see that my I-140 is filed and I wish good luck to all others who have been waiting for long! Thanks guys!

Folks - Even D+ approval for PP is not moving the case.. I have got a D+ approval for PP and Case Manager assigned a month ago but still no progress on I-140 filing. Still same old/stnd response..

Not sure what magical criteria they have been using.. :(

3.5 months from PERM approval is over and 2.5 more to go :(

Topic: I140 application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

Hi There.. Currently my I-140 is being requested for premium processing and not sure when it will be filed and I will get a decision..

My details: EB2| PD-12/2013|PERM Certified-04/01/2015|Case Manager Assigned-06/03/2015

Few questions on my next steps I have on mind, post I-140 approval (Sorry if any of this is a repeat)
1. Is there a wait period for me to undergo in Cognizant to retain the PD, If I quit and join new employer post I-140 approval?
2. I am sure Cognizant as per the policy will revoke my I-140 as soon as I quit them (within 60 days), knowing this wanted to know if I-140 revoke will impact my ability of retaining my PD of 12/2013 ?
3. New employer would file my PERM on day 1 but to get to the point of PERM approval and new I-140 filed it would take anywhere b/w 6-12 months and is wondering if PERM filing is the key to retain the PD while I-140 is not revoked or any other aspect?

On another note-
Any experiences of getting PERM and I-140 filed with a NEW employer while continuing with Cognizant and move only once I-140 is approved by the new employer?

Thanks in advance for your time and comments!

Thanks again!

May be I was not clear..Ignoring I-140 EAD for spouse-

Any thoughts on PD -12/27/2013 EB2 becoming current in near future?

(I see that Visa bulletin quotes 01OCT08, but I heard that there is a possibility of making it to 2013 for a short time and then flipping it back as it happened sometime back)

Thank you Steven8 for sharing specifics about your case and the route you are going to take.

Thanks again..

On this note, "Quite possible. In any case unless OP' PD is about to become current anytime soon, there is really no need for PP."

Parking EAD aside- with my PD being 12/27/2013 what are your recommendations to get it in PP?

@steven8- Thanks again.. Yeah I will try to go for it in PP based on substantial takeaways ..
Getting it in PP might make my exit a unhealthy one..(while I do have thoughts to move out too sometime in future)
So wanted to take that path if only the takeaways are substantial ..

@karthiksubbu/Steven8 thanks again for quick and sharp responses!

On PD- Mine is EB2 with PD of 12/27/2013

Citing this and exploring ways to get my dependent to work on EAD, what are your recommendations knowing that I can attempt to get D+ approval..

I just do not want to take this route (PP) and end up getting the request denied by USCIS.. as it would eat away substantial time with our immigration team (I understand that processing mode would not influence the outcome)

Thoughts pls?

@Karthiksubbu/others- Can you please advise on the trend in I-140 REGULAR processing (with respect to time frame on getting an outcome? )

@karthiksubbu- Thank you pro for a quick and useful response! I will get this filed in regular mode then, without seeking D+ approval..

Folks- Wanted to know if premium processing of I-140 poses any risk on the decision when there is additional 2.5 years before I max out.. (I can get D+ approval if needed and wanted to do it right).

Also what is the trend on getting a decision if filed in regular mode?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I would rely on iCert rather than an interface (DOLstats.com) that just pulls the data and presents in an accurate/in accurate manner.

Congrats to you that you could see your case being shown as certified on iCert (which is an official site)

Folks!!! WOW iCert is showing 453 approvals for 04/01 for Cognizant and mine got Certified too in this spree!

FYI-

Employer Name-COGNIZANT TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS US CORPORATION
Date: 04/01/2015

Congratulations to all the folks who got approved and those who are still waiting, please keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Coming to me-
PD- 12/26/2013 EB2
Got PERM filed on-time as per the policy (One year of onshore experience)

Folks with bad experiences discouraged a lot and had expressed pessimistic opinions..but I would say everything is context based for an associate and is a personal choice!

Though there were bitter and painful experiences, I wanted to stay on the line and give a try with a small light on the end of tunnel.
I was having 4.5 years for max-out when my PERM was filed to DOL on 12/27/2013 and wanted to wait patiently for an year or two and then take a call to stay or move and I guess my patience paid!

Ofcoz this is not to encourage or discourage to hang with Cognizant, but just wanted to let you all know what happened to my case..
And you are the king of your decisions! :)

Now will wait on the I-140 queue and hoping for the best!!!

I agree with the numbers and CTS stands next to Microsoft in the filing race.
But what matters here is the outcome of the filings! At least for CTS is long waiting and seems hopeless..

On-
Quote Start-
Where are 2356 people on this forum . I see hardly a few people who are concerned on their PERMS.
Quote End-

Based on my knowledge on folks having got their PERM filed in CTS but are not on trackitt for below reasons-
- I checked that folks are hesitant/apprehensive to create an account on trackitt thinking that it might create problems for their PERM.. :)
- I know lot of folks use this in read-only mode for various reasons
- Not all are in their max out so they still prefer to be in wait and watch mode
- Few don't even know this forum/website
- Few have already left CTS- US and have joined other companies got their PERM/I-140 approved and does not make sense for them to raise voice here
- Few have already left to India and does not make sense for them to still track and raise voice

Most of the above points holds good for non CTS too..

FYI- I have been tracking this website for 6 months or so and only later created an account to let my opinions.

Topic: Emergency help - Tourist Visa staying options in US

As per my knowledge, tourist visa is a multiple entry visa and there should be nothing to stop your mother to fly back in July 2015 as long as the visa is valid.
Also, she should be able to travel before too..However please check with others too..

Guys..
Just want to clarify on the comments above- |No- Audit |
Does this mean, your case has gone into audit? and you have got this confirmed via GIT or by any other means?

Can you please elaborate your comments in a way that they are informative? Thanks again!

I havr heard from someone in omaha that C** has been black listed by USCIS thats why there are no aprovals. Anyone heard of it?

Not me.. but the way things are progressing, might makes us think about this..
However, if this is the case- How are the folks getting through EB1? I heard/saw many folks getting their GC via EB1 within an year or so..
If USCIS has back listed the company then EB1 folks would not have made it through..
Just a thought though with a +ve hope for my long awaiting PERM :(
