Topic: H1 stamping - urgent feedback reqd - urgent

I can see that both my locations are in same MSA so i should be good

------------------------
When You Do NOT Need to File an Amended Petition
A move within an MSA: If your H-1B employee is moving to a new job location within the same MSA or area of intended employment a new LCA is not required. Therefore, you do not need to file an amended H-1B petition. However, you must still post the original LCA in the new work location within the same MSA or area of intended employment. For example, an H-1B employee moving to a new job location within the New York City MSA (NYC) would not trigger the need for a new LCA, but you would still need to post the previously obtained LCA at the new work location. This is required regardless of whether an entire office moved from one location to another within NYC or if just one H-1B employee moves from one client site to another within NYC.

My role is same and client is also in same business.
It's cognizant to i need to trust what they say.... else they would not let people start the new assignment.
hoping for the best....

I have approved I140 and I797 valid for 2 more years.
when myetension was approved, i was working for client 1 with indian IT firm. and now im working for another client within 50 miles for same Indian IT firm.
Ammendment was not filled as the new location was within 500 miles.
I have stamping interview... Do you see any issues? I am going to print map showing the locations are within 50 miles.

Quick suggestions would help

yes even with I140. per new guidelines every extn application is treated like brand new application.

Topic: H-1B Extn denial (with or w/o I140)

I have been hearing lot of H1B extn getting denied due to various reasons like education not matching the role or something else.

I saw 2 cases last week
1. playing a BA role but is BTech Computers
2. Java dev but Be - Electronics -

Is this becoming common due to USCIS taking a new stand for extension processing?

EB2 2015 will not be current in next 15 to 20 years without reforms.
I'm EB2 2013 and dont expect EAD in next 10 years or more

Topic: Cognizant Firing 1000 Managers

Guys,

Elliot is pushing CTS to take strict measures to improve the profitability.
Only Directors and above are asked to take advantage of this early retirement option.
This will not impact EB1C unfortunately.....
Elliot is only concerned about the investor value and today's results have taken the stock 4% up already.

401 K is always a good option.
if you go back to your country, you can withdraw it in next fin year by paying 10% penalty
but you get
-tax free contribution from your pay
-company contri
-growth of income
