Topic: PERM application for CTS (Cognizant) employees

Hi Everyone, I never do regular post to this site but allways watch this site. But today I like to post to inform about my PERM approval. Cognizant applied PERM for me on 26-Sep-2013 and I was waiting for the result like everyone here. When 800+ application was approved last week, I was not able to see my number in DOL Site. But like few of them recieved the magic mail from GIT, I too recieved the mail today that my PERM as been approved. Cognizant Rocks. As my I-94 expires in 4 months I think GIT prioritized my case and initiating my I-140.. By this its proved that DOL site is not up to date and all the best for everyone here to recieve your magic mail.

Hi temp2015usa,

I am in similar situation Like you. EB3 - I140 Approved(PD - June 2011) and C** applied EB2 Perm on Sep'13.

For your Question, i assume C** takes 2 - 3 Months to apply for I140 and another 3 -4 months for approval, but seeing the history all PERM going to Audit, not sure this timing going to work. I think if we are out of the country C** will not proceed with I140

I am just hoping when I complete 1 year after EB2 PERM which is Sep 2014 , C** can apply I94 extension and USCIS normally approve for 1 year on this scenerio

Thanks

DOL Updated their site officially to October 2013.

Is that means they processed all Sep 2013. My PD is 09/24/2013 and Case number provided by GIT is A-13268-XXXXX. I dont see my number in DOL site. I see around 6 Cases in A-13268 series in Certified Status in which my number is not there. Is that mean my case might be in Audit

This is frustrating :-(

Thanks for your Information

/3) If your 6th year is completing in Jan 2013, where is the chance that CTS applies PERM now? You dont have much time./

First thing to Join CTS itself they need to apply for H1b Transfer. Though my max out date is Jan 2013, currently I have I-140 approval and CTS is applying H1b Transfer based on this approval from current company and I am expecting max 2 -3 years of extension. Only then I will join CTS. Once I joined CTS my current I-140 will be invalid and I need to wait I-140 from CTS.

/2)CTS is now telling all lies, dont believe them. They are dragging all PERMs till maxouts now./

Oh .. Ok. Then can I get some written confirmation from them that they will apply Perm immediately I join

Hey,

I have Perm and I-140 approved from similar Indian IT company in EB3. Even in this company i received Audit for Perm, but still I received My Perm certified and I-140 approved in Apr 2012 while my Priority date is Aug 2011. My 6 year term complete in Jan 2013. If I continue in same company I can now extend max 3 years based on my I-140 approval

As my current GC is filed in Eb3 category and current company pay scale is not satisfactory I have tried looking for Opportunities in CTS. I have 11 years of Overall experience and CTS offered me for Project manager position. Now I need to send my H1b documents for H1b Transfer. CTS also said they will apply GC for me after joining.

Can you please advice, if I do H1b transfer to cognizant based on my I-140 approval of current company, I expect I will get max 3 years of extension. But in case if I get only 1 or 2 years, is it safe to join CTS because through out this thread i see so many CTS people are waiting for Perm approved.

Also can you please advice if CTS will apply with EB1 as I am joining as Project manager. In that case how soon they will apply.

Thanks
