Topic: Should I apply for H4 EAD now?

I would like to seek this response too. Got my H4 visa with I 140 approved, does it make sense to spend $400+ in this chaotic situation? What about the filing fee if ruling goes against H4 EAD’s...

Topic: H1b extension processing time - Vermont

The What's New ticker on the trackitt website reads 1004 h-1b cases approved every other day. What does this mean? Do we see any movement on the tracker? Vermont is still as ever..
Any comments?

Very strange, premium processing gets done in 15 days, regular takes 5+ months!
Anxious wait..

Topic: H-1B extension timeline

My concern is that within 5 months, 4th month to be precise, my DL expires, what can be done in this scenario? Can't drive! Helpless!! Only wish they could expedite the regular processing, if you go to see, they are taking almost 1/2 year!

But, during this 5 month processing period and having current H-1 valid, can a quick trip to India be made? Would it be safe?

One more question, my max out date is mar 15,2013. H-1 extension filed beyond max out after I-140 approval. As the avg processing time for regular extension cases is 5 months, will I be able to make a trip to India around Jan /Feb?

Would thee be any issues as my Visa expires in march too as the max out date.

Comments pls..

So seems like avg wait time here is ~5 months. Are your extension cases based out on I-140 approval?
Would it make a difference then?

Please note there were festival holidays in between, guess that is the reason for delay. I'm sure couple of days, you should get it!

They are not that bad as we assume :)

SFO takes 4 weeks for passport renewal and the status on tracker always shiws "submission to ....."
Rest assured, 5th week you shall have it!

I got mine Oct 13th, submission Sept 12th.

What are the next steps/ what to expect after I140 approved?

Mine just got approved last week in EB-2 at Dallas service centre. Will now file for H extension based on the approval but what are the next steps towards obtaining GC? What are the estimated timelines here?
