Hello All,
My wife had her 485 interview today. Summarizing our experience today at the DC(Fairfax) Office.
Our interview was set for 10:45 AM. The officer assigned to my wive's case (L Hughes) arrived 5 mins later and called my wife in. I was asked to wait outside. He did not ask for any documents except copy of my green card. He went over the regular yes/no 485 questions. After that he went over some basic information about me with her: like my job, company, marriage. He then asked about her job and parents information. At the end he said that the green card would come in mail in the next 6-8 weeks. Overall there was no major question nor any document requests. The whole interview review took about 30-40 mins.

Yes, Most likely your i131 is also approved. On you EAD card you will see authorization for travel also |

My case(Primary, EB3 ROW, PD Dec 2016, RD May 2017) was approved 2 weeks back. My wife( Dependant,RD June 2017) had filed for 485 a month after mine was filed. She received her EAD/AP yesterday. Question is :

I believe, in-order for you to be able to raise SR for 485, the processing time for your particular service center should cross your received date. For TSC its currently at Dec 2016. |

The cover letter should have been enclosed along with your RFE letter. JUst place it on the top and the sealed medical document below and finally the RFE letter |

You just need one ID proof and the appointment letter. The whole process takes less than 5-10 mins. |

So it looks like it was an error from USICS. My EAD is under extended review and I just received an RFE for my 485(not sure what it is for, hope its for the medicals)
Do you know if the RFE for medical is given out once the background check is complete? |
