Topic: Days since your RFER

Hi, my I-485 has been approved (I got the New Card being Produced notification) but my I-140 still shows "case received" in the system, although I received the letter with approval.

So yes sometimes the system won't be updated and you might be surprised to receive an approval letter or in your case maybe even the Green card in the mail. :)

Don't lose hope, I know how stressful this is. Keep a positive mindset and focus on the journey, if you got to the I-485 the toughest part is over. You can see cases that last a decade that when I-485 gets an RFE in usually two months they are done.

Good luck and keep up!

Topic: October 2017 Approvals

Hi, in my case I think they ran in parallel. My case is EB1C, Texas Service Center and I am Brazilian, that is current.

My timeline:

Jan 30th, USCIS received I-140, I-485
Feb 13th, I-765 and I-131 were received
Feb 28th, Went to USCIS for fingerprint and photos.
March 16th, I-131 was approved and EAD card was ordered
March 23rd, EAD card mailed, I received in the next few days.
Sep 6th, the I-140 was approved
Sep 19th, the I-485 changed to RFE, so in around 15 days both moved.
Sep 28th, sent the RFE on the next day it changed to RFER.
Oct 12, it changed to New Card is Being Produced.

So I think when filled concurrently is does run in parallel. Otherwise it would take another 6 months for my I-485 to be looked at.

Dear green card applicants and friends in wait, today 14 days after confirming receiving my RFE the USCIS ordered the production of the new card. Our case is TSC with PD on Jan 30th, I-140 approved on Sep 6, 2017, I-485 RFE sent on Sep 19, 2017, RFER Sep 28, 2017, and New Card Being Produced sent on Oct 12, 2017.

Good luck to all, keep the faith and good spirit, when you do things right and keep positive thinking good things come.

I-140 approved Sep 6th

Sent RFER on Sep 28. Hope to see "New card is being produced" soon!

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. These little things keep us on the edge. Keep me updated, I send my RFE yesterday it was delivered today. Since our cases are very similar, I think we can help each other to release the anxiety. :P

Topic: Top RFE Reasons

I received an RFE for my EB1C (I am Brazilian) I was very happy and sad at the same time. Happy because my RFE was because I didn't fill out a question in the I-485 form and sad because if that's the only thing they asked it means I would have my I-485 approved If I didn't forget to fill that... :) Sending the response today, hope that soon we have an approval.

Topic: EB1C - Texas service center

For all EB1C January applicants, as I said yesterday my lawyer sent me the I-140 approval (still not in the system) and today my I-485 and my wife's were updated with an RFE, still don't know what the RFE is about, I am hoping something silly as vaccination supplement J or even gonorrhea as weird as it sounds :P

Does anybody have any idea how long after sending the response to the RFE USCIS has been taking to a final decision?

Good luck to all!

Topic: EB1C - Texas service center

Hi everyone,

My case is EB1C, I am Brazillian and I just got an email from my lawyer with my I-140 approval, I filled January 30th both I-140 and I-485 concurrently.

The system still shows case received, the approval letter dated September 6th. Now I know that the system may be not updated as we would like.

I really hope the approval on the I-485 comes before they start the interview process otherwise, we can have long delays.
