Topic: EAD urgent!!

Hi aaa69, I am sorry to hear that you are waiting for your EAD approval and its almost 5 months since you applied. Have you tried contacting your local congressman/woman's office - I believe you should contact the district congressman/woman where you live. Check with your postal zipcode to find who is your representative. They will be able to get in touch with USCIS on your behalf and that might help speed things up a little bit in your case.
I know how frustrating it can be to feel helplessly waiting but we are all going through the same situation one way or the other.. Hope this info helps!

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi abcdys, I am sorry to hear that you are in a very similar situation like me and I can understand how frustrating and helpless you should feel since I am sailing in the same boat. I still have not had any luck and I have exhausted all possible help I can get - calling customer service centre, creating and waiting wth multiple service requests, taking an infopass appointment and finally contacting congressman's office and even reaching out to ombudsman. The time uscis gave at each of these inquiries are over and I dont know how much longer I need to wait. Its been 4 months since my card was approved but I dont have it in my hand yet.
Like Jess suggested, I reached out to the senator's office yesterday, the person I spoke to said that someone from their team will get in touch with me, but I have not heard from them yet. So I am waiting on them. I dont know what else to do. The wait has been really frustrating and painful. I will surely let you know if I have any updates.

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi Jess, Thats such a great news!! I am so happy for you! I still have no updates on my case. I am trying to get in touch with the congressman's office so they can talk with uscis again since the time mentioned to them is already over last week. I will try to contact the senator's office as well. I did not know they help with immigration issues - so thanks for the info!
I am really happy for you - I can imagine how relieving that must be for you! As you said, it cannot be a lot of relief till you get the card in hand!

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi Jess, Thank you for the reply! Yeah, the wait is killing me!! I tried everything I could think of - even took an info pass appointment but they also said they dont have much control on this... Reaching out to congressman was the last bit of hope I had and I thought that would really solve it. But now the time that uscis gave the congressman is also over and I dont know what else I can do.. This is becoming such a painful process - first to wait for the application to be approved and now to get the card.. I have been out of job for the last 7 months...

Hi Jess, I heard back from the congressman's office last week and they said USCIS will mail the card in 1-2 weeks. Its been a week so far but no sign of the card being sent out. I am keeping my fingers crossed! Lets hope we will get the card mailed out soon! Mine has been approved for more than 106 days now.

Hi Praveen121,
I am sorry that your card might be lost by USPS and that USCIS is not able to track it. I can imagine how frustrating the wait can be.
Did you try discussing this with your attorney to see which option might be better? I am not sure how long the replacement card might take?

Topic: i485 Case got transferred from TSC to NBC to VSC

You can try calling the USCIS customer service number. The case update status says where your application is transferred to, when you give your receipt number

Topic: i485 Case got transferred from TSC to NBC to VSC

Hi EB2ROWW, could be, I am not sure if its specific to cases filed at TSC. But I did receive 2 updates online - one on 8th Nov - which said my case is transferred to another USCIS office. I received the transfer notice by mail and it said the case is in Lee Summit (NBC). Again there was an update on my online status saying the case was transferred on Nov 9th and this centre has jurisdiction on my case. But I am yet to receive the paper notice by mail. But when I called the customer service number this morning, it says my case is in Vermont.

Topic: i485 Case got transferred from TSC to NBC to VSC

Mine is the same case too. On Nov 8th, I received a notification saying my case was transferred to a New Office. 1 week later I got the notice in mail which said the case has been transferred from TSC to NBC in Lee Summit. Again on Nov 9th, the online status changed to Case transferred to a new office that has juridiction on your case. When I called customer service number, the update said it is in St.Albans, Vermont. I am from the Massachusetts area and I am not sure why it got sent to Vermont. I was hoping it will get transferred from NBC to MA and an interview will not be too far away!! But this is a new twist! Guess, USCIS has no dearth of surprising twists...

Hi Jess, any updates on your EAD status? Were you able to get in touch with your congresswoman? I did try to call them and after talking to the rep on the phone 2 days ago, I was mailed a privacy release form so they can talk to uscis on my behalf. I am still waiting to hear from them. No updates on my case! :(

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi Arktus and everyone else who has experience contacting congressman/woman to speak on your behalf:
Could you tell me what is the best way to reach out to them? I found my congressman and there was a link to reach him by email and I received an automated response! But do you think the congressman office would respond to my email or is it better to reach out to them by phone or meet in person? Could you folks tell me based on your experiences? Thanks for your help!

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi Brethart, Arkhus is right, the USPS forwarding service does not work for forwarding EAD or green cards. The approval notices, service request responses, etc gets forwarded but not the actual cards sent by priorty mails. If that were the case, I would had the card by now and I would have gone back to work 3 months back and could have avoided a lot of frustrations...

I don't know if you guys know this, whenever I change my address, I update in USCIS and along with that I register in USPS and register for their mail forwarding service. I give my forwarding address towards my new address. It costs a dollar for a year and whatever mail/package that comes to your old address will be diverted to your new address. USCIS always send it through USPS priority. You guys can check this out. It helped me get so many of my mails towards my old address diverted to my new place.

Topic: Incorrectly processed change of address - Undelivered Card

Hi Arktus,
Oh my god!! its almost like somebody is speaking my mind and narrating my whole experience, except with different dates!! I can imagine the frustration with this since I have been going through this for the last 3 months. My application was submitted on 8th May 2017 and it got approved after a frustrating 96 days of wait. When I was rejoicing that my card will finally reach me, it was sent to my old address in a different city although I had submitted an address change and got a confirmation, 2 months before my application was approved. I did not know that I should call and check the address on file with USCIS. Had I known that, I would have done that painful thing even every day if needed for those 2 months!!
When the card got redelivered to USCIS, I had called and created a SR and the response was to wait for 60 days. I thought it will be a guarenteed wait for 60 days but it has been over 80 days now and no traces of the card being mailed. The worst part about my case is that I also did not receive an approval notice for I-765 and neither did my attorney received that. When I asked the customer service rep and the Tier-2 officer said that it is strange and he does not know why but he can see the approval notices were produced but he cannot see any information for it being sent out! The USCIS call centre has not been helpful because they said they really cannot do anything other than asking us to wait and apologizing for inconvenience! I recently created another service request for sending my approval notice and EAD card. The approval notice SR was completed 3 weeks ago and I did not receive the response or the notice. The EAD card SR response is to wait for another 30 days. But this time I know that this is also not guarenteed. I have been unemployed for the last 6 months and I just wish this stupid wait game comes to an end soon! My attorneys have not been able to help much either. I have made an infopass appointment for next week but I am not very hopeful about that! My last hope s the congressman who I reached out to by email a few hours ago. I will wait to see if his team can speak to USCIS on my behalf and be able to help me get the card!! It is so damn frustrating to wait for the card even after its approval and not be able to travel or go to work! My worst nightmare is that, I still dont know how long is the validity of this document that is approved, since I did not receive the approval notice, I have no clue. I have seen some instances where it is approved only for 6 months, in which case the 3 months are already passed and I am screwed because I have to apply for renewal at once and the whole wait game will start again!!!!! I have been waiting since May 8th!

Topic: EAD card stuck on production

Hi, Just wanted to ask if you have received your EAD card yet. I have the same situation as yours and I created a SR and they agreed to resend my card. I have not got any updates on my card yet. Just wondering if you heard anything and if you have got your card already! Thanks

Topic: EAD card stuck on production

I exctly have the same situation as yours. Although I filed AR-11 after my move, USCIS sent my card to my old address. I have been waiting for it to be resent for over 3 weeks now. Placed a SR that has been assigned to an officer for response. Still waiting for them to resend to my new address. I was told that I will get a status update when the card is remailed at which time, I can call back to get the tracking number from USCIS. Hope this happens soon! Its been more than a 128 days of wait so far since the time of my application and still havent got the card!

Topic: EAD/AP Receipt Timeline?

Hi, it can take anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks. My experience was 2 weeks, but i have friends who got it in less than 5 days. Hope this helps. Also, note that the email or text alert is not considered official. you need to get the paper receipt notice.

Hi workworkwork, I received a very similar kind of response by email yesterday for the SR that I raised on my application. My timeline should be similar to yours as well. I dont really understand why it should take so long to finish background checks! Lets hope things move faster and we will get our approved soon.
